Reguardless of what doctors or professionals might say, if you're an individual that already has any case of acne then Coca-cola, Chocolate and dairy products do infact make your acne worse. No it doesn't directly "Cause" acne, but it does make it worse. I have very mild acne, but i do know giving up coca-cola , chocolate, dairy and other junk food has largely improved how my skin looks. Whenever i drink a can of Caffeinated soda ( IE: Coca-cola) i notice the next day effects. No they're not huge, but i do know this is because of the soda, i've tried it many times and every day after i drink a can i'll notice something. So do i believe it causes acne? No, if you don't have acne and you drink a can you won't get it, but i do believe if you have acne and you drink excessive amounts of Coke and consume Chocolate and dairy products on a regular day bases you'll notice your skin mysteriously getting bad, switch to diet with no dairy and only water and you'll see the difference.
But i do infact know that certain foods stimulate acne to get slightly worse, but no if you don't have acne go ahead and eat and drink whatever, if you do have it drinking water and juices will give you considerable noticing differences.
Try it.

Endocrinologists conducted studies to find the relation between the consumption of Coca-Cola and the breakout of zits among teenagers. The result of the studies isclear. The facts proved that hormones, heredity factors, and other less significant factors are the main causes of acne.
There have been many studies about the effects of drinks and food on acne. None of them have concluded food or any form of beverages cause acne. Coca-Cola or any other drink, including milk, as a flare-up component was not recognized by these studies.
Dermatologists also agree there is no consumed food or beverage that causes acne. They all agree that the myth was born because people tend to consume the same foods prior to a breakout and then associate the food with the acne problem.

My little brother has acne, he's 15. His doctor said that foods do not cause acne, clogged pores & hormones do. The doctor used to have sever acne himself, so I believe he knows what he's talking about since he struggled personally with it. You may also want to avoid washing your face too much, 2 times daily is said to be sufficient- more than that it strips your skin of needed oils & causes more breakouts.

i dont think they cause acne, but if i drink hot chocolate or even eat some chocolate for a period of lets say 4/5 days straight? then i do get acne coming back. i believe when you don't eat chocolate, you can go without it for awhile, but then once you start eating it, you need it like a few times a row because of some ingredient in it.

I've heard soda may cause acne in some cases. I have a lot of acne and I don't drink a lot of soda.

Stay away from the dark colored sodas, like colas, rootbeer, dr. pepper. My daughter started to get acne and stopped eating chocolate and drinking brown soda and her face cleared up really fast. She drinks sprite when she wants a soda now. Also make sure you wash your face in the morning and at night before you go to bed..and drink plenty of water. Lots of water flushes out all the impurities that will make you break out.

No. Foods do not cause acne. That has been an old wive's tale that has lived on for decades. Oil build-up and dirt in the pores DO, however, cause it.

No necessarily acne! But too much sugary foods and drinks can cause pimples which can turn into acne if untreated.

The salts in the products can aggravate acne. Diets high in salt aggravate acne because of the iodine. So stay away from shellfish too if you have acne issues.
