I am a egyptologist and have studied mummy[s and the like. No the hair and fingernails do not continue to grow. What happens is that as our flesh dries it pulls in and so only "exposes" more of the fingernail. As far as the hair, same principle, as the scalp dries it pulls back and the head appears to have the hair be longer, but what you see are actually more of the root systems. So sorry to burst your mythological bubble. No they do not continue to grow. Its a natural process of the skin drying and just exposing more of the finger nail, and scalp roots. If you look at the mummy of Ram-es' the 2nd, you will notice that his finger nails look REALLY long, this is a perfect example of what happens to the skin pulling back and exposing more cuticle and nail bed. But no, neither the hair or fingernails continue to grow. Its a myth!

no, your tissue dehydrates after you die and shrinks a little making your hair and nails look a little longer.

Think of it this way: a fifty foot tree grows in ten feet of swamp
water. The visible part of the tree is 40' tall. A few months later, a
drought causes the water level to drop five feet. Now the visible part of the tree is 45' tall. Did the tree grow in a drought? No, but you can see why people would think it did."

This is false. Hair or nails do not grow. It simply appears that way because of fluid loss in tissues. As the skin tissue shrinks it appears that hair and/or nails have grown because of the shrinkage around them. Hope this helps.

Yes... and your nails too. "I assume you are asking about the common myth that hair and fingernails grow
after you die. What really happens is that the body's tissues get dehydrated and
shrink after deeath and they "pull away" from the non-growing, but apparently
longer, nails and hair.

Noses and ears stay a similar length yet something human beings shrinks slightly with age consequently making noses and ears look larger. Hair and fingernails proceed to strengthen for it slow whilst we die, this has given upward push to many 'vampire' or 'undead' memories.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMw71 While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

no it doesnt work. some people say fingernails grow too but wehn the skin decomposes, the fingernails APPEAR longer only because not alot of skin is surrounding it. and i dont think there's a way for hair to grow wehn you die. i mean.. first of all hair is composed of DEAD cells and proteins.

It still grows but it doesn't grow an insane amount, same thing with your finger nails, and toe nails.
