The nutrition column in Parade magazine, a couple months ago, said that even though most bread mold is safe, some is very bad for you. Unless you know the difference, this person said to throw away the whole loaf, sandwich, etc. We can not see all the spores developing, maybe other places on the bread..

Yes...it's even safe WITH the mold...but probably won't make for the best tasting sandwich.

P.S. Good point above about a penicillin allergy!

absolutly not in fact throw the whole loaf away mold in bread spreads in the air in the bag seen this on cnn a seagment called whats in your kitchen didnt know it either until i watch it quite interesting

this was on TV just the other night. they said even if you cut it off its still there, they proved it by putting it in this thingy that speeds up the growth of mould, the bread was covered in it. i wouldnt eat it

I've read that you should throw the entire loaf away, because the spores have probably spread much farther than you can see.

to my shame I
must admit that I have done it
and lived
I am not allergic to penicillin though
and once i ate a turnover that had mould on the inside
which i didn't taste til i'd swallowed

no because the spores may be invisible and then you injest the mold. yuck
