The Rosary is not a piece of jewelry.
The Rosary is a tool that can be used by anyone in prayer.
The Rosary is rarely worn. Some religious sisters in habits wear them.
If you choose to wear a Rosary then remember to behave accordingly. Just like wearing a Cross or Crucifix, you are telling the world that you believe in and are trying to live the Gospel message.
With love in Christ.

Catholics are not required to wear Rosaries. Rosaries are not jewelry, despite their similar appearance to necklaces. Therefore, typically, they are not worn.
Having said that, they can be worn like a necklace, hung from a rear view mirror - but only so long as the intent these actions are to promote the Catholic faith.

Urm...these days, the rosary isn't usually worn, even by Catholics. Except for certain orders of priests and nuns that wear a usually very large rosary (typically like a belt) as part of their tradition, a normal rosary isn't supposed to be worn.

I'm catholic and we don't wear rosaries. Everyone can wear a cross, but rosaries are only for holding while praying or hanging somewhere.

You don't wear a rosary...that would be sacreligious. A rosary is used to pray with not decorate yourself with. No you do not have to be catholic to use a rosary but why would you want to if your not? That would just be admitting that we don't pray to Mary, we pray with Mary. God forbid other denominations finally get that we would have 1 less thing to fight about

The rosary is a pray instrument. If you wear it is because you understand the meanigs of each of its links and you know how to pray it. If you use it as fashion piece, then you are not a catholic. If you wear it, it would be nice to use it with respect as the sign of Christ is in it.

You do not have to be Catholic to have a rosary but it is not worn as a necklace (though it ought to be, most of them are really pretty!) it is held in the hands as you pray.
BUT....I agree 100% with ddead_alive's answer! They nailed it.

The Rosary is, like any prayer, there for your edification. If you choose to pray it, I hope it uplifts you and helps you to focus on the Lord. If not, I hope you find something that does.
No Catholicness required here.

You're not supposed to wear a rosary. It's not a necklace. You hold it in your hands when you are praying.
