Sisterlocks start at $400 dollars for short hair. Which I had at the time because I'd cut my perm after wearing two strand twist for a while.

The $400 includes your initial loc up and a follow-up six weeks later. After that the re-tightenings are $25 an hour. Which for me since my hair is thick ends up about $60-$75.

I haven't been in a while for my stylist to do them because she taught me how to do it myself and I received the tools. This class in my pattern plus the tools cost $120.

So even with all the initial up front cost it's really a sound economic choice. Now I am not dependent on having to make an appointment or sit somewhere for hours or to pay anyone else for my hair's upkeep. I LOVE IT! I usually keep my tool in my hair (It's small and most people think it's hair jewelry) and I re-tighten when ever I have a free moment. Kinda like people knit or crochet...I re-tighten my hair.

Hope this helps!

Probably depends on the vet. I had a stray cat come up to my house and after feeding him he would return a few times a week eat and then leave. After this went on for about a year he came up one night and had been hit by a car. I rushed him to the vet and was told he had a broken hip and the only way to fix it would be having an expensive surgery. Being a singly mother or 2 girls and raising my brother I wasn't able to spend that kind of money. Therefore, I paid $15 to have him put to sleep. I didn't realize how attatched I was to this animal til that day! It shouldn't be much though. Try taking yours to the local humane society also. Around here they do a lot of things way cheaper than a vet would.
