A synonym for what what you just described (very well I might add) is Arrogance. My experience leads me to conclude that observed arrogance in an individual is often the opposite of how it appears. It is often a facade that is erected to hide the lack of personal awareness and identity.
In the absence of this, converting and convincing others to one's belief is serves as re-affirmation to that lacking individual, as evidence that they are acceptable.
Because true self esteem must come from internal and not external validation, unless recognized and changed, this external validation becomes a lifelong pursuit of a "cup" forever needing to to be filled up that cannot ever be satisfied.

Jim, you enjoy it. You get a thrill out of mocking God's children. You cant even see you're own brand irony in your claiming concept of God is truer than that which is written of in the Bible.
I have considered over the years many concepts from atheism (which does not work) and through a string of alternate religious ideas and concepts.
I kept coming back to the Bible. Not because its logical in the eyes of intellectualism - but because it defies the logic of man, and it works. Bible prophecy proves out in the face of and against man made logic.
Israel rose from the ashes not by the sheer will of men but by the power of God - though you may not see how. Daniel foresaw the Dome of the Rock mosque which sits on a wing of the temple mount as it sits today! And needs only one part to occur to fulfill that passage - the coming of the Antichrist, the Muslims, Mahdi or a Caliph (one in the same most likely).
This man will come any time now - then about 3 1/2 to 7 years after his appearance at the Dome of the Rock (the detestable temple), Jesus will come back to clean house.
Non of prophecy has to make any sense to anyone - it happens despite the refusal of some to believe.

Your statement, "Only someone who has been brainwashed or drugged would say their way is the only way. How sad."
I have not said MY way is the ONLY way... and neither should you say this!
Jesus said:
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
If repeating God's words and giving God's message to the un-believer, makes you sick to your stomach.... then, you have not been born again. Your comment that you "thought it would be funny and a joke, but honestly, I feel cheapened." only reinforces that you have not met Jesus Christ.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mark 8:38
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.

There is only one way to get to know God. Its Jesus Christ.
You may be taking a little too much offense at people telling you you're going to hell as well.
It may look self rightous and some people are, especially at first, but don't let that distract you from the way God really is or what it means to know him.
It's really up to you to decide whether or not you want to believe all of this Don't let other people force or manipulate you into Christianity. It shouldn't work like that despite the fact that it sometimes does in today's modern society.

I don't believe in God either, but you can't just make a blanket statement that Born Again Christians are brainwashed. You're ignorant if you're not willing to even give their view a chance.
I'm sure that for some Christians it really does come down to egotistically saying, "if you're not like me you're going to hell" but for the majority they really, honestly think they're right. Maybe they are right! Maybe you really will go to hell if you're not a Christian! Have you talked to God? Did He tell you that there are lots of ways to get into heaven? I didn't think so.
So if you want to start a real philosophical or theistic discussion don't do it like this.

I believe in God. I smoke, I drink, I rather be with girls more than guys & I swear when I talk. I don't consider any religion in my life, I even feel uncomfortable labeling it as God, Lord or Jesus because I just do. I must use a common label it/him if I'm conversing with someone about this subject. If it's just me and that higher power I do not try to contain it or limit it by any specific religion

You are right. There are many ways to know God,and the Catholic way is only one of them. We are all trying to get to the same place in the end. Sure,I know some Catholics and some people from other religions that think it's their belief or straight to Hell you go.I'm just content knowing that for me The Catholic way is what's best. Peace be with you.

Jim... man, what happened to you in your life? Why are you torturing yourself like this? Why the constant obession with Christianity (and the cosmetic version, no less)?
It's like a moth and flame -- to immerse yourself in it hurts a great deal (and could easily kill you, emotionally), and yet you keep doing it.
Why? What's going on in there?
Stop, man. Stop hurting yourself, and stop devaluing Christians you've never even met. You're a better guy than this.
