It is easy to remove the codes and anyhow pirate the movies. Don;t know why the manufactures make all these regions. Think it is a whole lot of money making rackets.

Plus think about how many movies are made here and therefore come out here first and can easily be shipped overseas for bootleg purposes. They region code them so the film company can determine what will be available where, and when!

because the MPAA, etc. doesn't believe that you actually own the DVD even though you purchased it.
The regions are built in to prevent movies made for one area of the world to be taken to other parts of the world and played there.
