hair is made up of keratin . the root of the hair what is called as hair follicle is the growing region . the end of the hair is only dead tissue so only u r not feeling pain when the hair is cut. but try pulling out ur hair then u wil feel pain because the root of the pain , is having nerve endings.

It is made from a protein called keratin. It is also the same protein that grows our fingernails. It doesn't hurt when you cut hair because of the lack of nerve endings.

I believe hair is made of keratin and has no nerve endings. It's pretty much dead cells, like our fingernails.

you don't feel it when it's cut because other than at the root the hair is dead - that is why coloring, bleaching, chlorine can cause so much damage. It's like finger nails.

Hair is made up of keratin. And the reason we don't feel it is because it is dead. Like our nails too.

Hair doesn't have nerves in it, just like fingernails, so you don't feel pain when they're cut.

It's made of Keratin- just like our fingernails and toenails. We don't feel it because our hair is 'dead'.
