This is so cute you do this for your dogs. It probably gives them a sense of someone "being" there, especially if you play music while you're home. Animals go through separation anxiety when you're not with them, anything to comfort them to remind them of you couldn't be bad for them...

Absolutely. Many years ago when we had a rescue for dogs, the trainer and "dog whisperer" told us that socialization of dogs with other animals and with people's voices is very important. If the dogs hear voices from the Television shows that are not those voices of the people who live in the house, then they will not be as skiddish when strangers or guests come to the door. Separation anxiety in dogs is much much less when you leave them some "folks" to listen to when you're gone.

We used to leave on "Animal Planet" on the Discovery channel when we had to leave the house. We had people who came over all the time, children and adults, and the animals did very well.

I put a CD player out in the kennels with the Animal Planet shows I'd taped so the dogs in the kennels would have some human "company" when I couldn't be out there. The barking, howling, and pacing were all at a minimum.

Go ahead---give it a try for a week or so. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

good day! Getting the dogs this summer season is a extra special theory, provides you with time to domicile prepare besides as bond with it. i'd propose a small breed dogs jointly with an yorkie, Shih-tzu, maltese.... once college receives began you've to "crate" the dogs. it really is like an indoor kennel, get it sufficiently huge that the dogs has room to flow round and lay in. in case you settle on to pass with the crate then get the dogs used to being in it in the course of the summer season, per chance at nighttime or commence for some hours an afternoon until eventually eventually you're as a lot as 6-8, that is purely no longer so annoying then for the dogs. also look on your section, the most well beloved type lately is "puppy day care", maximum of those places run about $20 an afternoon. desire this permits!!

How do your dogs react to it when you are there with music on? My dog doesn't really care for it, it doesn't really bother him except that he likes to sleep most of the time when I am not there I think so it bothers him, keeping him from sleeping.
