All confessions are to your GOD, the priest , father, rabi, shaman, whoever, is only there as a mediator.

The Pope is supposed to go to confession like anyone else does. Usually he'll go to a priest that works closely with him.

The Pope's office may be an important one, but he's a Catholic just like the rest of us, and is supposed to practice his own faith life just like the rest of us....

The last Pope (John Paul) had an elderly polish priest as his confessor. John Paul would go to him every Saturday.

Another priest. The pope is just another priest, the only reason that he is placed higher in the church status is that w/out a leader there would be chaos

Anyone, including the Pope, can celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) with any priest.

I think he may give it to his assistant, who is a Cardinal. Of course he can give it to any Priest, Bishop, or Cardinal.
