I started spotting on June 17 it lasted for about 4 days. I have just started spotting again. (June 28) I have been on the shot for about 2yrs. What could this be? It has never happened before. I rarely get even spotting. I think that this is probly about the third time of having a period while on the shot. Should I be worried that im pregnant? I know that spotting is normal but to start and stop then start again only 2 weeks later.

You just never know with that shot...when you get off of it be prepaired to bleed for months at a time...there is nothing good about that shot other than not getting pregnant! Good luck with that!

The first time I was on depo (13 years ago), I bled for almost eight months straight. The second time (six years ago), I would be fine for six weeks then bleed for six weeks. The doctor would prescribe a low dose birth control pill to control the bleeding until it was time for my next shot. This time around (it's been 13 months), I may spot the day I receive my shot and that's it! It's been wonderful!

Talk to the doctor. You may have to change birth control.

I'd consult your doctor just to make sure nothing's up. It could just be a side effect, but you want to be sure.
