TRY as hard as you can to drink a tall glass of water before you pass out. I know its hard to remember but it helps A TON! Your body is so dehydrated, that's all its asking for! The ONLY time I got a hangover is when I've forgotten to do this

there has been alot of research as to why you have a hangover after a night of FUN LOL
the main contribution is that alcohol dehydrates your system. If you can drink a couple glasses of water before bed you hangover will be greatly decreased if not gone in the morning.
Also simple combo of Tylenol, aspirin and caffeine will put a stop to any hangover headache... as for the belly dont do this on an empty stomach ... aspirin will make it hurt like crazy... These pills can be bought over the counter as a migraine relief formula but work great for hangovers...
Another thing is to drink better grade alcohol. The impurities of cheap alcohol will make a hangover worse. Especially in your belly. Drink the good stuff.
One other thing. And this is no way scientific but it works for me.. But i take a hot shower the next morning... i mean scalding hot... for like 15- 20 minutes... let it pound on your head and back im not sure why it helps me but it great....
good luck

Drink at least 2 pints of water before you go to sleep, the more water you can drink the better as it dilutes the alcohol or something like that and lowers the after effect. If you have a dodgy belly then greasy food is always the answer, get a fry up down ya neck first thing with a glass of Coke as that is good for an upset stomach - that might possibly be for wind or the trots though....
Luckily I only get hangovers from wine, so I stick to shorts.

OK as most everyone has said drink lots of water, ideally have a glass between each drink, one with two alkazelter and a vitamin pill before bed and then in the morning drink ICED water and avoid eating or drinking anything hot for a bit.
The reason for this is any booze left in your stomach is still being absorbed in small amounts. If you drink something hot, blood rushes to the lining of your stomach, increasing the absorption rate, and in extreme cases you can end up drunk again and it certainly prolongs your agony. If you drink something cold however, the blood vessels in your stomach lining contract and so the booze passes through without being absorbed and all is sweetness and light.
THEN - a big greasy fry-up!
And if, like me, you can't stand water, drink milk instead.
(O and this is the same reason AdamO's suggestion of a hot shower works - it is drawing the blood away from the stomach).

1) Before you go out, make up a "Drinking Kit" for when you get home and put it near your bed. 32oz of water and 3 aspirin. The problem with hangovers is often the dehydration. The water solves most of the problem and the aspirin takes care of what the water doesn't.
2) To ease nausea, go online and find "Preggie Pops". They are lollipops that will help alleviate that quesy feeling. They are intended for pregnant women, but work just as well on a hang over.

Here are 5 different ones maybe one will work for you.
1. Take 3 aspirins, aleve, or advil
2. Take 200mg cysteine (available at specialty food stores)
3. Take 600mg vitamin C
4. Take 1 tablet vitamin B-complex
5. Mix the following ingredients together in a blender:
1 banana
1 small can V-8
6 large strawberries
2 tablespoons honey
1 cup orange juice
1-2 cups milk (or soy milk), to desired consistency
¼ tsp. salt
dash of nutmeg
Drink it all up.
Number 2 is said to work the best but I really don't know anyone who has tried it yet.

Be sure to drink some water every few drinks.
Don't drink on an empty stomach.
Take your time drinking - there's no need to guzzle.
Drink lots of water before you go to bed, and if you wake up because of the alcohol, drink some more water. Again, drink more water in the morning.
It might not avoid a hangover altogether (that depends on your alcohol tolerance and how much/quick you drink), but it should lessen the pain.

It's not a question of 'don't drink', it's 'don't drink too much and don't mix your drinks.' Alcohol is best drunk with food (as the French will tell you.)
A pint (yes, a pint!) of water before you go to bed is the answer. A hangover is mostly due to dehydration of the brain. Those really nasty hangovers you get when you didn't drink much, though, can be due to things other than alcohol. Red wine, for example, usually gives me a real hard time.

Breaking a sweat helps, but it's hard to go for a run or something after drinking too much the night before. Definately drink lots of water when you are hungover. Hangovers are because you are dehydrated. If you can remember to do this, it is great advice- Eat something of substance before you got to bed, even if it is a couple pieces of bread. And drink two huge glasses of water.

Drink a small glass of water between each alcoholic beverage. Also, eat a "greasy' breakfast the next morning. My fav is the country biscuit breakfast from Bob Evans!
If that doesn't work for you - try puking before you go to bed. Sounds nasty, but I'm always right-as-rain the morning after.
