I was thinking about getting some black and whites of me and my belly. Do most people think these are tackey, trendy, or pretty? Does anyone know where I could get them done and when is the best time during the pregnancy to get them?

I think if they are done right they are absolutely beautiful I wish I had gotten some done while I was pregnant. I would post them whereever you feel comfortable. the most tasteful ones don't show your face, nipples, or crotch regions so it's art plain and simple not porn. As far as where to get them done if you have any parents or baby magazines I have seen ads for them in the back section. They look like they are usually done during the third trimester anytime. they have become a little trendy but who cares go for it.

If done tastefully , I think it is alright. I would say that 7 months would be a good time to get them done, so that you are "fully" pregnant but not miserable. Contact a professional photographer so they don't look cheesy.

I think it's a great idea. I planned to do it with both of my pregnancies, but I went into labor before I could get them.

Any photos of yourself are fine.....no matter what subject or how graphic.
It's where you PUT the photos that's important. Maybe the kid's room or in a nice pregnancy scrap book with bath-time photos.

You know its really a personal thing. If you want to do it then do it. The ones I have seen of Britany Spears are really pretty but of course we all know that air brushing does miracles. If you want to do it then do it. I hear its like the new fad.

probably done tastefully its not a bad idea provided they are intended for your own personal use and not for public display...in other words i wouldnt hang one in the foyer or main living area where my friends, family, and acquaintences could see them....but maybe for the bedroom or on yours or your husbands armoir...a professional photographer (yellow pages) would probably do them and i would have them done in or around month 7 or 8

I think they are beautiful. A woman's body is a work of art anyway, then with a pregnant belly, I think it's beautiful, you should do it!

i think that they are beautiful however not everyone is going to want to see them. so if you get one, i wouldnt put it up on the mantle lol
if you want it, get one done. it isnt going to hurt anyone else and it is about you and capturing your pregnancy on film.

i think it's beautiful. i have seen it VERY tastefully done at glamour shots. i think the pics are ususally done around 7 months... when you're obviously big... but not lop sided or anything :)
