this is a 2001 expedition eddie bauer is it in the rear passenger window?

Depending on model, if you don't see the antenna, it is probably imbedded in the window, specifically the passenger side rear.

It's in the right rear glass like you said.. that's with the fine wire you see in the glass. The wires are connected to a module real close to the glass that converts it over to something a radio can use.

HInt- all Crown victorias from 1998 - now use the same principle but theres are in the rear glass

yeah, im with jeffrey, if you dont see it anywhere, its either an antenna externally attached to one of the rear windows like the old cell phone car antennas or its in the rear window, along with the defrost (if equipped)
