It would be in the same vain of creating artificial fabrics only this time the fabric created would be to mimick the one created by nature. it is not enough that we stop what causes the damage but to try and repair what God in his infinte wisdom knew we needed.

Some laser printers and copiers do emit ozone. However, I would think that the quanity needed to offset the damaging gasses would be too high to manufacture.

Hi,

Ozone is actually oxygen that has been bombarded with UV radiation ( the energy produced by the sun). In order to create ozone we would need a massive ammount of energy to produce the UV rays. Unless this energy was created by renewable energy sources it would be counter productive and ther would be more enviromental damage as a result of trying to repair the hole. The hole in the ozone layer is actually letting in more UV radiation, which in turn bombards more oxygen and creates more ozone! Self repairing if you think of it in this way which is in the most simple terms possible. Only problem is the damage, whether man made or natural (lots of arguments each way) is occuring faster than it can repair its self.

We obviously can create ozone, certain cities have trouble with this. I think the problem is we build the ozone in the wrong places for it to be useful instead of detrimental. I don't think we have a way to produce the ozone in sufficient quantities and deliver it to the places where it is needed. If you figure out how to do that, you may be able to get rich, or at least admired throughout the world.

The ozone layer is often being destroyed and renewed by utilizing the solar. The stability of ways a lot ozone is modern-day, is depressed by utilizing contaminants contained in the position of the "ozone layer". a number of those contaminants are provided by utilizing Nature. a number of them are provided by utilizing guy, and guy also consumes distinct the oxygen at extreme altitude which also serves to depress the quantity of ozone that would nicely be produced. If we may be able to administration our emissions / moves, the ozone layer will heal. the prevalent source of ozone contained in the ozone layer is the interplay between UV-C radiation from the solar and O2 contained in the ambience. The UV-C radiation splits O2 molecules starting to be free O atoms. those man or woman atoms then eventually connect different O2 molecules to create O3 (ozone). because the solar is often shining, ozone is often being produced contained in the ambience.

The ozone is unstable, that is it always changes, and hence it would be hard to produce in a lab. And also the amounts needed to replenish the natural ozone layer would be enormous. Plus, I think if we actually came up with such a technique, we would abuse it by not caring what we emitted into the air. So we need to learn how to save the ozone rather than to produce one.

I was under the impression we could, an in fact OZONE was getting created due to certain emmisions here on earth.

Apparently ozone is not good for you! Mother Nature certainly has a sense of humour!

I believe that scientists are having trouble finding a large enough test tube. But fortunately american industrialists have a plan: there are enourmous cavities under the earth, all we have to do is empty them and we can start. But there's nowhere to put the current contents, so the US government is encouraging it's citizens to burn this unwanted waste in cars ,homes and businesses .We're half way to emptying the oil out of most of them, so we can all do our bit for the environment by jumping in a car today, preferably with air conditioning, and driving around as much as possible.

Ozone in the upper atmosphere is good.

Azone on earth is very bad.

Ozone in smaller quantities on earht mixes with other gases to form smog and we all know how unpleasant that is.

In larger doses we would all get oxygen narcosis and die.

Still want to make down here on earth?

duh, ozone is deadly, poisonous, more then cyanide gas, can be and is used as a sterilizing agens (and is manufactured for this purpose), also it is produced by cars, for instance. if the concentration reaches the limit, because there is little wind to disperse it, it is just like exceeding any other immission limit. so the ozone down here (in cities, where we breath is) is bad - Banderes is quite right.- , while up there it is lacking. i dont think it is feasible to get enough of it up there

OK this people don't know what they r talking about.
sooo basically we cant remix it in a lab. well we could but we couldn't repair it because we would have to cover the whole outside of the earth with it in space. and in space theres 0 gravity so it would just kinda move away so no we couldn't. And if we could it would take years with our technology.
