I have been divorced for almost a year from my husband. He was physically abusive, he was sleeping around on me, and was constantly drunk. My pastor agreed that these were grounds for a divorce and that I was not sinning. He also discussed remarriage. I am only 25 and have two little kids.

Recently I began dating. I have met a WONDERFUL man and he is meshing well with my family. He is also divorced, he wife was sleeping around on him. He is 35.

We have talked about marriage, but we are working together to make sure that this is the best for both of us. We are very passionate towards each other, we love each other very much. Is it a sin to have sex out of marriage if you are getting RE-married? I was a virgin with my husband, but I am not sure what the rules are once your divorced. Any wisdom? Thank you so much. God Bless you all!

I have no experience in this but... It's in the Bible, premarital sex is most definitely a sin. One of the things I was taught in church is that if you have to ask whether or not something is a sin then you already know it is.

Different people have different beliefs on this. Only you know what your own belief is. Since you say you "recently" began dating, how sure are you that this marriage is really going to happen? How definiate are your plans? How will you feel if you share your bed with this man, and then no marriage takes place? Obviously, you have very strong feelings in this matter or you wouldn't be agonizing over it. I think your best choice is to be selfish. If you are more comfortable waiting, then wait. If he ends the relationship over that, he probably wouldn't have married you anyhow. If you decide you want to have sex, do it because it's what YOU want; don't be influenced by desire to please him, desire to keep him, thoughts of what will or won't happen in the future, or whatever. Do it out of your own desire for YOU to experience sex with this man, here and now, and nothing else.

Girl, Read the Bible. There aren't any hidden stipulations or loopholes that you can use in your favor. If you aren't married to your sexual partner... then it's premarital sex and premarital sex is a sin.

It is a sin period to have sex out of wed lock, but I think you already know that.

If you are committed and monogamous and seriously intending to make this work for the long term I see no problem.
