Alcohol dehydrates you by replacing the water in your blood. If you add extreme perspiration to this, it dehydrates you even more. You should drink water when you're in the sun a lot. Drink alcohol in a nice cool, dark bar.

One word.... dehydration.
Alcohol severley dehydrates your body and then the hot sun dries you out even more. You get drunk very quickly, and a VERY bad hangover from it. If you are going to mix hot weather with alcohol, make sure you drink a big glass of water every 30 minutes. Have fun in the sun!

both dehydrate you quickly, and can be a deadly combination. i've found that when I'm out partying with my friends that I don't get so sick, or have such a hangover if I drink 8 oz of water for every alcoholic beverage I have. But I still don't drink much when I'm out in the heat.
