I have a 1999 Ford F150 and the radio has alot of static, is there a condenser or something that can be changed to clear it up?

Condenser is another name for capacitor.

You need a noise filter.

It's wired in series between your radio's power wires and battery.

Radio Shaft used to carry them, but I don't think they do anymore, but you could try.

Also try Circuit City or the like...

The engine noise you hear is either the alternator or ignition system (spark plugs, rotor cap, etc.) if you can hear the pitch get higher if you accelerate.

- or -

A new radio.

I not think there a condenser. But, there may be another problem if this just start. Your Alternator may be going bad soon or you may have a Plug Wire Arcing to the Engine. All I know to look for.

Possibly a filter for the radio antenna, or sparkplugs with resistors.
