Most of us atheists have already been through the better safe then sorry game. We already thought about what happens if we're wrong. We already went through the faith crap. We already thought about heaven, Jesus dying for our sins. The difference is, WE CAUGHT THE BULLSHIT, CHRISTIANS DIDN'T. Who has the upper hand?

Serf, some atheists pretend to be Christian just to get elected. Look at their actions. They don have a problem with no prayer in schools

There actually have been many atheists who became Christians. If you think about it, nobody is born believing in God. So who has really done the thinking and made a conscious decision? I'm not talking about people who just use the label "Christian" because they were born into a church-going family. I'm talking about the real use of the word...one who is a Christ follower.
If you have seriously looked into the question of God and faith, you would know that there is more documentation for the Bible than for the writings of Socrates or Plato or any other philosophy of life. And the faith of Christ followers is based on eye-witness accounts of the life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
No person or group of people has "the upper hand", whatever that means. It isn't a poll. It's a question of Truth with a capital T. God exists whether you believe it or not. To believe that the universe in all its complexity just exploded into being takes a great deal more faith than to believe it was created down to the smallest detail by an all-knowing and all-powerful being. Don't believe it? Then do the research.

Most of us atheists have already been through the better safe then sorry game. So have many believers. I think Pascal's bit is shallow and selfish and thus worthless.

We already thought about what happens if we're wrong. So have many believers. If I'm wrong, I'm a hopeless fool trying to live a good life and share that with others. I can live with that.

We already went through the faith crap. So have many believers. I've had faith, lost it, found it, and if I do my honest best, I hope to lose it again, only to find it again... and so on, and so on... anything less would be apathy, and thus dishonesty, for me personally.

We already thought about heaven, Jesus dying for our sins. So have many believers. For me, while both of these are wonderful ideas, they are far from the only contributers to my faith. It goes far beyond an eternal hope and a guilt trip from God.

The difference is, WE CAUGHT THE BULLSHIT, CHRISTIANS DIDN'T. The difference is also that many believers took the time to seek out the truth behind the supposed bs. It's not as if we're oblivious to it (certainly some are, but there are Athiests out there who are oblivious to the flaws of their belief system as well).

Who has the upper hand? imo, that's completely individual and something only one with pureness, holiness, and righteousness could judge correctly. Are you qualified? I know I'm not.

I don't understand why you feel you are in competition with Christians. I don't think your negative remarks are going to change any ones mind. Why does it seem so many atheist need to push so hard to change the minds of others? Is it because you have not felt anything special in your life? You don't feel connected to anything bigger than yourself? If you don't go into any Christian questions I bet you will find yourself less bothered by what they believe and when a Christian answers your questions you could always just roll right by and not bother with it at all. I think the person that has the UPPER HAND is the one that can find a way to live in this world without the need to push against anyone. Allow people to believe and live as they choose just as you would like that same respect. Spread love and light up the world.

Atheists used be Christians. Why is the name calling necessary? This only shows that atheist lack morality for their fellow man which can't be respected! Judging you? Yes! You are only caught the "BS" because your full of it therefore you never was christian in the first place. This is not a game for as who got the upper hand. Only immaturity cause you to think this way! Jesus is the answer!

I don't think you know what Atheism really is. You say you're not Chrisitan, but that's not enough. You need to truly believe that there is NO god of any type anyhow anywhere, not just no Christian god, in order to be truly atheist instead of merely anti-christian. That's much harder to convince oneself, at least when one acknowledges the possibility of amoral and/or non-omniscient/omnipotent Gods.

In short, you're still as confused as Christians if that's the limit of your Atheism. You don't believe in god, but you don't believe that there is no god, and there's a difference. You don't yet have the upper hand, you're just rebels without a clue at the moment. When you believe that no god could ever possibly exist, much less a powerful/benevolent/Christian one, then you're Atheist.

Problem is, you'd have to take your true Atheism on faith, since there really is no proof or good heuristic either way, so you'd still have nothing on Christians.

"in case you study technology, which many evolutionists say has "shown" evolution, it says that even as the DNA of an organism CAN replace by the years, inclusive of the finches Darwin studied contained in the Galapogos Islands, there's a decrease on how a lot it may replace, inclusive of you could not change into infinitely sturdy, because you DNA will in person-friendly words enable your muscle mass to strengthen a lot." incorrect. it isn't DNA that limits how sturdy someone can change into that is physics. Evolution, like each and every thing else contained in the universe, is constrained by utilizing physics. the international would not "supposedly practice 'tolerance'" both. Tolerance is practiced in various degrees by utilizing persons who stay contained in the international. the in person-friendly words rationalization why christians would or would no longer get carry of any extra ridicule than the different faith will be because christianity is at present the biggest faith contained in the international. a miles extra functional metric will be how a lot ridicule is received by utilizing practitioners of a faith per capita. To my information no one has finished this study (or a study on what you pronounced for that remember) as such that is ineffective hypothesis from an exceedingly subjective perspective (own adventure is under no circumstances an invaluable metric to base a generalization on). also the large Bang and evolution have the great element about being in protecting with info we may be able to straight away be conscious. This and the very incontrovertible reality that they are the outcome of an software of deductive common sense on those observable info by experimentation and likely they're a lot extra logical. also you look to have your info mixed up even as it contains the large bang. Cosmologists aren't any more featuring that the universe got here into existence from no longer something. fairly the opposite the prevalent regulations of physics require that each and every thing contained in the universe has consistently existed contained in the universe. Evolution also has no longer something to assert about the position the first cellular got here from, it absolutely does no longer attempt to declare that the first cellular got here from nowhere. this can be interior the area of abiogenesis it really is a branch of organic and organic chemistry. This is wise because existence is chemistry.

Atheists become Christians due to the homework that they complete. Christians who become atheists were never Christian in the first place... I can see them becoming agnostic... but not atheist due to the actions of others whom they thought were Christians. One can not judge the basis of whether there is a God based on what others do to them to cause them to doubt their faith. But a true Christian will research the issue with an unbiased mind.

I remember the issue with Madeline O'Hara son Bill... wasn't he a converted Christian minister?

There is Josh McDowell... that dude did his homework... and he was a devote atheist. You should check out some of his many books.

"New Evidence That Demands a Verdict" is his latest. It is a good read. Worthy of any atheist's attention. Good homework assignment.

There are a lot more Christians than there are atheists, especially in the government. I'd say they have the upper hand.

Where are your statistics?

I've actually heard of both Christians who were atheists and vice versa. I'm not a Christian or an atheist, but I still have to say that statistics are still not an accurate indicator of who's right or wrong.
