My male beagles name is Chewy, I would recommend the name Laya for a female beagle. She is gonna lay around alot, beagles can be very lazy. Also never leave beagles by themselves they dont like to be alone and become very destructive when they are. My male beagle shattered the sliding glass door with his teeth when we left him in the back yard.

How about HUNTER? Beagles make good hunting dogs. I also like that name because it could be a man's name too. I agree with you...I don't like the regular dog names. Best of luck with your new puppy!!!

I like to get to know a dog before naming it, as sometimes they will make it obvious what they should be named! Like, if they are mischievious or lazy or not to smart....our dog is named Pretzel as she is very limber and can tie her body up in knots almost when she is excited!!
Or, it's fun to name a pet a name that has something to do with your special interests!

Argus, Roosevelt, Terrance, Charlie, Billy, Edwin, Edison - all names that sound iffy for people but good for dogs.
