The way we're living now??

Given the hostilities in the Middle East, the War in Iraq, the fighting all around the globe....I'd be surprised if the world will be here in 20 years...someone's bound to nuke.

There is no reason to think the planet will explode. It is possible that a large asteroid could hit us and cause massive devastation at any time but astronomers are watching the skies for those so hopefully we'll have a good amount of warning time before something like that occurs. Other than that, the end of the world will happen when the sun enters its red-giant stage and envelops the inner planets, including earth, in about 5 or 6 billion years.
