The origin is Arabic. Like any word that starts with "al" indicating an article in Arabic.
Alcohol specifically comes from Arabic word "al-kuḥūl" meaning "powdered antimony."
Antimony was prepared by distilling stibnite . The word was later applied to all distilled substances, and then was narrowed down to ethanol.

the alcohol actuall word is like the alcohol stuff that you put on scrapes and the other alcohol is in like wine beer liker stuff like that but i hate wine beer liker and stuff but i hoped that you got what you needed goodbye :-)
