7-up was always one I had heard of, but then when I went on a fishing boat my husband was sick and they said that there is something in root beer that is good for settling stomachs. Unfortunately my husband was a lost cause so I don't know if it's true or not.

Anything with ginger in it. Ginger ale or a nice ginger tea. You can actually steep a couple of slices of fresh ginger in hot water and drink it. Just chewing a bit can help. Also peppermint tea works well.

Buttermilk.
In dire situations mix up some baking soda and ice cold water.
Chug it and walk around a few minutes until you get that belch of relief.

Warm Coke, or warm Vernors.
Even better is cola syrup, which you can get from your pharmacist. Ask for it at the pharmacy counter.
