ok am Saudi and Muslim
and i know exctly what your talking about
to be honest KSA is not a religious country only but traditional too so we have alot and alot of rules to follow that we cant keep on with any more
Islam is flexable and it fits every where and all generations
but as for our culture its out of the desert so its hard and ruff
so alot of people here dont know the difference between the religious beliefs and the ancestors'
thats why you see them doing alot of bad things while they just wanna have fun which is wrong but what can we say but God help us

First of all this was a sad thing. But we do not know the whole story. So we should pray for the girls and the ones who did not let them out. And remember the media is not Muslim friendly so it is always made to look worse then it may actually be.
Second there is no Islamic country at the moment. We have country's were the Muslims are the majority and may have some laws in effect that go along with Shariah law, but that does not make it a Muslim country. But at the moment Saudi is the closest. They are not as bad as people make it out to seem, or the news makes it out to seem I should say. How many of us actually know a Saudi women. I know a sister who used to live there and her family still does. I have never heard these kinds of things happening to her. And there are a couple of articles I could give you that have Saudi women talking and defending Saudi from some of the media stories.
We should not blame the whole of the Saudi government. There are many good stories of the things they have done. But like always these good stories are not news worthy, especially when it is a good story about Islam and Muslims.

TBH, i am muslim and i think that was totally stupid, how can u let some girls be burned alive just because they were not appropriately dressed, i think thats too wrong and they should have been let out, and yes saudi arabia is an extreme muslim country, and it is very important to have females dressed appropriately in saudi arabia...considered a sin and a violation if these rules arent followed, that is why they forbid these girls from exiting this building, however, as i said b4, i am muslim and i think that life is far more valuable than the way someone is dressed, the dress code should have been dealt with after saving their lives, they have misread their priorities
however, we must consider whether everything we read in the media is total facts...maybe they left a few things out which would exlpain a lot more abt the bahaviour of these people, in any way, this situation should have been dealt with better.
i agree with you, islam is a religion that promotes peace and tranquility, but some extremists are very misguided and use this as an excuse to cause so much destruction and violence which contradicts the holy Quran and the teachings of the Prophet* and therefore, people have the wrong ideas about this religion

Saudi Arabia is ruled by a Wicked Regime.
Infact, the country is named AFTER this Regime.
The Royals are the Al Saud family and thats where the name Saudi Arabia comes from.
They think of themselves as Owners of the Country.
They are like Owners, Rulers and Gods of the Country in their eyes and in the eyes of many.
The Saudi Royals/Regime Discriminates against All Non Sunni/Wahabi Muslims.
Shiites are treated worse than Second or Third Class citizens. They are treated like Subhuman and are Not allowed to practice their faith.
Non Muslims are also Not allowed to pratice their faiths.
Women are Not allowed to drive and the Saudi's don't care about educating the people. An Educated people is the last thing the Saudi Royals/Regime wants!!!
Especially among the Shiites who are hardly allowed to get an education and are not allowed to go to College or University!!!!
Simply put, the Saudi Royals/Regime are Evil and are Anti-Civilization. They probably dont even know what the word Democracy means!!!
Worst of all, The USA and Europe are best friends with this Evil regime and constantly supply them with Weapons and other things with which to further suppress the people!!!!
As for Saudi Arabia being an "Islamic country".... there is no such thing as an "Islamic country" since none exist. What there is are Muslim "majority" nations!!
The Saudi King thinks of himself and has the official title of King and "Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques" which are in Medina and Mecca (the 2 Holiest sites in Islam).
The thing is, however, is that the Saudi Royals/Regime and Kind have NOTHING to do with Islam. They are Anti-Islam and twist and turn the faith so much, that they've created their own faith.....Just like Saudi Terrorist, Osama bin Laden.
I hope this was helpful to your question!!! :-)
Feel free to message me with any more questions you may have. :)

It is not!
Saudi Arabia is an Islamic country and it has it's word in Islamic world. They contributed in most of the Islamic events and they try their best to serve Muslims who come to visit the origin of Islam and no body could deny these facts.
If you are talking about specific accidents or incidents then excuse me to tell you that you are being misjudging. If we take for example the girls' school fire that happened few years ago, we can see that it is a small group's mistake that turned it to a disaster. Is it right that we generalize and blame this mistake on all "Motawaas" (as you call them)?
And the same thing apply for the "hypocrites" that you call.
You cant blame a whole country for single individuals' acts.
Saudi people (as all Muslims) try to obey Islamic teachings but I dont know why people (especially westerners) are hating them for this. Sure we are not perfect but who is?
And about the women in Islam or Saudi Arabia, I am sure that she (the woman) lives like a princess. She is respected as a mother, sister and as a human being. I kiss my mother's foot from its bottom. I take my sister for shopping. Carry her bags. Care about her. Defend her physically and emotionally. In other words, every right of her is fully guarantied. If you dont believe me come and see by your self, and compare what you see with a woman's life in the west. You be the judge dont be fooled by the media.

Although some Saudis are good people, it is true that most Saudi leaders, and tourists ( men) are the most hypocritical and vicious people you can imagine. They have nothing to do with islam. They are barbarians. except for a very very few good men. Saudis doing all sorts of dirty things abroad, and especially in poor Arab countries is not a myth: they are so much frustrated and repressed in KSA that when they go abroad they commit abuses, and particular sexual abuses and the like.

personally i believe that its only a minority of islamic people who r actually like this. Like many religions u will have those people that let it down and its common to hear the phrase 'call urself a christian' etc due to 1 mistake that one has made. it only takes a small minority to let a whole group of ppl down and i think we allmake mistakes and there r many ppl who feel strongly about their religion and completely disagree with what a few ppl have done. i'm not religious but i don't think its right to judge a whole group of ppl on what the minority has done. i hope this helps with ur question. just remember that for every bad person out there theres probably 2 good people to make up for that. These people think that what they are doin is right when it is completely immoral. i know it doesn't completely relate to the question but its something anyway.

And I am Christian ... um, well, from that culture, anyway ... and I find it equally hard to justify all the things that have been done in the name of Christianity.
Do you think a new religion called (for example) Chrislam would fare any better? Some religions seem to end up preventing people from being themselves, which is the opposite of what we were put on this earth for, I think.

aight listen there
there are a lot of corrupt muslim ****** extremists. they do not follow what the Quran has instructed and what Islam teaches. They are corrupted by materialism and take some of the islamic ideas way to far.
Even some of them are hypocrites or non-muslims actually prentending to be Muslims, trying their hardest to make muslims look bad in the world so muslims who are sticking to the right path have to take bullshit from everyone else.
They articles you gave are prolly true, its just the people who the articles are written about are losers (understatement)
