MC Hummer had it exactly right - How do you convince someone who feels that they 'need Jesus' that they are a slave?

Christianity was the most powerful tool slave drivers had. The Church made a specific effort among slaves to tell them to accept their lot in life - "This life is a test", "You will be rewarded in the next life".

It's exactly what Marx meant when he called religion the 'opiate of the masses'... Keep the masses complacent, and passive, and pliable...

How would you convince a slave to stand up against his oppressors? By convincing him that he doesn't need Jesus...

By setting him free to know God for themselves. Remember the book of Philemon in the Bible that when the slave was converted that Paul told him to go back to his master and tell him not to treat you as a slave anymore but as a brother.

It is not my job to convince anyone they need Jesus. I simply present the good news and it is their choice weither or not they accept it and seek God and his truth. Jesus said I am the truth and the way. Can't be any plainer than that friend.

Who says the slave is without Jesus.
If you know Jesus why dont you show the slve what he lookslike without using words.

A person has to first realize that there is no hope for them to go to heaven without Jesus because of sin.

I did not know slavery still existed and if it does.then it is not right and..i do not know how u would convince then to believe in anything....
