It is important to drink plenty of water because water keeps your body hydrated. It helps you loose weight by keeping your organs flushed and doing their part to use the nutrients in the food you eat and to flush the waste you don't need. It helps with anti-aging for the same reasons and by keeping your skin younger and more elastic. Whew... I just realized I don't drink enough water. I'm gonna go get some right now. LOL

There is a connection. When your body is dehydrated you feel like you are hungry. So if you drink plenty of water you won't be mistaking thirst for hunger. Plus it'll fill your stomach up so it'll keep you from eating too much when you do have a meal. Water helps to keep things moving along, if you know what I mean. So it does help keep the system running efficiently. I'm not sure if it's got "anti-aging effects" I do know that when I do drink plenty of water my skin doesn't feel as dry and I don't feel as run down physically or mentally. So I tend to be more active. And that's good for your body and mental health.

Drinking enough good water allows the body to remove toxins and sludge which otherwise wouldn't move. Look at a polluted stream or river! If the sludge is moving the weight stays down. It is not just water but the proper PH of the water and your system that alters weight. If you are acid your body will retain fat. If you are alkaline the body needs less fat to protect itself.
If your system is clogged up or out of balance you are going to age faster than you would otherwise. "Water will not slow aging but it can add time. For example smoking can cut years from your life. Not smoking won't add any years to your number. Same goes for water. Not proper hydration, less time for you!!!

Yes there is. Keeping properly hydrated is essential. To find out how much you should drink, divide your weight in half and drink that in ounces. So if you weigh 150 pounds, then you need to drink at least 75 ounces of water a day. You could drink a little more to help with weight loss. There is a danger of flushing out all your vitamins and minerals from drinking too much. so be careful

You were talking about weight and then your question changed. I do know that it is healthy to drink a lot of water. As far as losing weight, yes, water can and will fill you up. If you drink a lot of water before a meal, you will not be quite as hungry.

Drinking a lot of water is a good thing to do to keep yourself hydrated, to help you feel full without eating extra and to quench thirst the no-calorie way instead of with sugary sodas, juices and sweetened drinks that only lead to weight gain.
