God the Father, Jesus, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit are equal persons in the Godhead. Since the Son was begotten by the Father, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son, there does seem to be some type "rank" or different levels of actual authority here, but it's hard to pin down, and probably understood only by God. Jesus is the Lord our God. He is above every one and everything.
There are no contradictions. IF you were a born again Chrsitian, God would reveal the answers to the questions you do not have the answers to right now.

John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
only Gen 22:2

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Catholics believe that the three persons in the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, are equal.

The Bible does not contain the word Trinity. However, the Holy Trinity is hinted at repeatedly in both the Old and New Testaments.

The early Christians prayed and struggled over these hints for a couple of centuries. The concept of the Holy Trinity (three equal persons in one God) was mainstream Christianity in 325 A.D. at the Council of Nicaea and our belief is expressed in the Nicene Creed from that council:

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him, all things were made. For us and our salvation, He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

With love in Christ.

I am a Christian, and I see what you're saying...it does seem complex, but it really isn't. While reading this, I just ask that you be open...thanx:

We serve what is know as the Trinity~ GOD in 3 forms...God the Father~GOD, God the Son~Jesus, and God the Spirit~ The Holy Spirit. When Christ said that "I and my Father are 1", What HE meant, was that They both have the same spirit....Jesus was the physical manifestation of GOD in the Earth...A man with the spirit of GOD. In this sense, they are 1...of 1 spirit...

However, in the next scripture you quoted, Christ notes that GOD is greater than HE is...GOD the Father is the creator of the Heavens and the Earth. In Genisis, the Bible says that GOD created...it was all about GOD....Christ and The Holy Spirit were realitively unknown at the time...GOD permitted Christ to come to this Earth, and in the Bible, you also see evidence of Christ worshipping GOD the Father....
I pray that this was clear....Thank You for Your Time,
Anthony

* Also, take note of this: Even look at families....My Dad and I are 1 in a sense that we are of the same, direct lineage....However, HE helped in bringing my physical manifestation to this Earth...He has authority over me....I serve Him....Christ was deemed the 'Son of the Living GOD'....GOD is the 'Father'....Christ is 1 with HIS Father, just as I am, and just like me, He serves under His Father

Jesus was the last Adam that became a quickening Spirit.1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
God sent Jesus his only Begotten Son a man capable of suffering death for me and you so our SIN could be forgiven and we could be adopted back into the family of God.Jesus was Gods SON and had Gods BLOOD in his veins thus his Blood was SINLESS and PAID
MANKIND'S SIN DEBT IN FULL. Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Jesus and God were ONE. Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
In Christ in Love,

According to Islamic teachings Jesus was a man, born by Maryam a sacred woman without husband , who became prophet and messenger of Allah just the same with other prophets.Jesus was not a God and not a son of Allah.Allah has no son and no parents. There is no trinity. The holy spirit was Jibril angel.Jibril told Maryam that she will pregnant without man's touch..Her son was Isa Almasih or Jesus.Jesus went up to God's lap and he was not crucified. He was a prophet for Israelis but they did not accept him.

There is an order to the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Christ is the second person in the Trinity. The Father is always above the Son.

How is that a contradiction?

He is equal to ( in Christianity ). Let me paraphrase the last part:

You heard me say " I will leave , and come back for you. If you loved me, you would be happy, and not sad, because I am returning to my father, my father is greater than I."

He is describing his Resurrection. I'm assuming the apostles didn't know he was going to come back, he is giving a prophesy.

God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit are three beings, but also one. They are equal! The Holy Trinity is a divine mystery.

Remember that Jesus is divine, but humbled Himself to be human for our sakes. The human form of Jesus is lesser. Jesus Christ, the savior, is equal.

Jesus?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - betcha)

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.

They want everyone to convert to their non-thinking.
