My friends and I are going to stay in Bangkok about 2 weeks. We have 3 people in the parties. All guys. We have limited budget because Bangkok is the last place we of our trip. Can anyone tell me how can I get the best hotel rate?

Well. Most Internetsites are pretty close together when it comes to prices. Al lof them get discounted prices. I found the following website to be very helpful and to offer excellent prices.

The booking process was easy. I stayed at the Davis Hotel Bangkok, not really a low budget hotel but there are numerous cheap Bangkok hotels available.

I have been to Thailand three times for a total of three months (exhausting my tourist visa every time), and I have see a range of room prices from 200Baht to 5000Baht, ranging from dirty guest rooms on Khoasan road, to ultra-luxury suites in downtown Bangkok. I believe that the luxury rooms are for business travel, rich couples seeking the best possible hotel experience at a low price (around 150 US dollars, an amazing experience). One tip is to make a real Thai friend whi can go in and ask the price, because the Thai price and the "farang" (white) price are differrentby about 50%. But for the best of the cheap I recommend:
Mylasia hotel, which is now available online for around 700Baht (just under $20 a night- and definitely book in advance since rooms are in high demand). It is located just south of Sathorn road. Another great choice is Royel Hotel, just out of college-tourist central- Khousan Road- a great choice with a beautiful pool, clean rooms, and a kiler air-con system! For a nice location on Khaosan road is the D&D INN, which had free breakfast, a new cleaner appearance, and a staff speaking fluent English-- I always say stay here first for your first few days in Thailand to get a safe "feel" of the culture, with a safety net of available Western food, and ultra-cheap vendors. Peak tourist times you will find no vacancy, so you might be forced to walk around and search for something else. But the Royal always has something, and there are many "guest houses" with rooms. Another nice one is in Pratunam- the fashion district, where you can find a clean room, two beds or one queen size, two sinks (great for doing your own laundry) a communal balcony for drying the clothes, cable and phone which I incurred no charges for using. Monthly there is an amazing 9000Baht coming to 250 Dollars per month. So here are a few options, but ensure that you have a room for your first few days to give you time to explore others, and to make sure you don't get stuck in a $5 a night guest house which- if you have seen "The Beach"- are admittedly sub-par.
Just an additional note on Beach bungalows- You can find some great single room bungalows for $15 a night on Kho Chang, some on Kho Pan-gnan, and going up in price over in Kho Samui- 750Baht to 5000Baht. And Chang Mai will offer some amazing rooms, but you will be pressured if not required to take a mountain trek for 1800Baht for three days at a hotel with rooms at 350 baht to 700Baht a night. Honestly this was my best Thailand experience, best hotel, amazing trekking experience and some of ther nicest world travellers I have ever experienced. If you want to come back and tell of your Elephant mountain trekking, waterfall swimming, bamboo rafting, and staying in a bamboo hut with a mountain tribe-all with a fun group of travellers (8-13 in my experience) then I would say go for it. You will bw changed !! Tee-o Hai Sannok Na!!! Enjoy your trip!

If you are looking for the least expensive accomodations in Bkk, it is in the guest houses along Khao San Road.. just ask the taxi to take you there - pronounced Cow Sarn [ rhymes with barn ] Road.. get out of the taxi and walk along and you will find many choices.. I think prices can go as low as $3 per night.. enjoy..

try finding guest houses they are the least expensive Kao San rd. is not bad this time of year and there are some easy places behind the wat there there are also many guest houses in small out of the way places ,,, check the Lonely Planet Guide book enjoy
