how do i cancel a upload?i want to try and stop a upload because it wastes my usage a lot

people in other side can download any things that is in your share folder
,it's name is incoming usually
when u download some thing it will be save in this directory
after your download process complete , move the files to another dicrectory and make this folder empty
so there is no file to download for another

emule is a _FILE SHARING_ program. Not uploading would stop it being a file sharing program.....so no, impossible.
You can limit the upload in the connection settings, but this will also lower the download speed.
Set the upload to 50-80% of your line speed an you will be fine.
It does not "waste" your usage..... it serves other people.

remove the file from your upload folder.

Find files you don't want any more in the transfer list and delete.
