LET HIM WATCH.
It's not dangerous to watch, it's dangerous to imitate.
So be a parent and lovingly explain (and emphasize) the difference. Enforce the rules.
Boys will roughhouse regardless of what they're watching. Don't attempt to stifle it completely or you'll both be miserable. Plus it won't work.
All the folks saying "turn of the tv" or "wrestling is bad" are daft.

The only way to stop him is first to stop letting him watch it. It doesn't matter how much he cries, kicks, yells or screams. Stand FIRM!!! Secondly, kids need to keep hearing the same thing over & over for it to sink in. So keep telling him, "Mommy does not like it when you play rough. It's not nice. Stop It." Use a stern voice. Then whenever you catch him doing it put him in time out for four minutes and tell him why he's going into time out. Tell him he has to stand and face the wall until you say time is up. Just keep doing this and I'm certain he will stop.
If you don't want to cut it out all together use the other person's suggestion of having him wrestle some big stuffed animals only. That's a good idea.

I have two boys Age 6 & 4. They are overly obsessed with wrestling. If it is something they love you shouldn't take it away from them. You just have to explain to them that it isn't real. It is to some extent but fake punches and kicks and so forth, If you want it to completely stop you have to explore other toy options and just cold turkey on the whole wrestling thing. Try playdough or play tools. I've tried with my kids several times but their dad and step dad both wrestle for a local wrestling company, so it's impossible. They love the sport of wrestling so I let them. They have learned the differenve between fake and real and not to hurt each other and other children. My boys love John Cena and Rey Mysterio.

That cracks me up, I grew up watching wrestling like ever considering i might desire to undergo in concepts. Are you asking like heavily the thank you to get a 9 12 months old to love wrestling? actual do not coach them DX it fairly is grownup oriented. The undertaker has replaced lots from the way he was once yet nonetheless his character is slightly evil so i might't coach him that the two. in case you had in user-friendly terms those 3 to circulate on i might circulate with side surely because of the fact for the main section he's a incredibly clean guy minus that incident and how he enters the hoop. yet once you have been attempting to get a incredibly time-honored, cool 9 12 months old hooked, coach him the old Scotty-2-Hottie stuff or perhaps the Hardy Boyz as a replace. It rather relies upon what kind of 9 12 months old you get carry of lol, they are all so diverse lol. character is each little thing because of the fact some human beings you are able to not make like wrestling no count what.

Even cartoon with violence must be avoided. How much more ,the real human beings wrestle!I strongly advised you to cancel the channel in your t.v permanently without telling him. Let him join taekwondo or karate,etc....this way he can wrestle or fight with guidance.Anyway, let him watch the movie karate kid(1 - 4?) of ralph macchio. There, he would see the good ways and evil ways of fighting.it is not simply a movie but an educational one and with moral values as well.

My 3 year old watches it too. He is a HUGE John Cina fan ( if that is even how you spell his name). He watches it with his DAD at his home, and he watches it with his 9 year old cousin. When he wants to wrestle, he has to wrestle with the stuffed animals. He knows he is not suppose to wrestle with anyone cuz they will get really hurt and bleed. my son knows if he wrestle with his friends he gets a time out and will not watch wrestling. I would tell him if he is going to wrestle, use his stuffed animals and explain to him that he could really hurt someone and make them bleed then he will have no more friend. GOOD LUCK

Why can't you say no to the wrestling. If he wants to watch tv limit it to Sesame Street or Blues Clues. He's 4 - treat him that way.

Cool, watch with him. It is fake anyway. and teach him that what he see on television isn't real. The best thing moms and dads can do is teach there children in the thing that we beleave. Molding the child is what comes first. But I don't miss it either.

Wrestling is for mature audiances not 4 year olds.
Dont let him watch it.
Everytime he starts to wrestle someone put him in timeout.
It wont take long if you are consistant.
