Brace yourself, this answer is correct and the truth is always startling. Satan not having the power to live on the Earth is the same as Jesus not having that right. They are brothers. The is one all powerful God. He is the apex of the pyramid that is "God." Under Him, is the Divine Nature. God, the Son. God, the Holy Spirit. God, the Adversary (Satan). Satan is the evil present in everybody. He is also a member of the Godhead. God gave Christ the right to live on the Earth. What you do for one brother, you must do for the other. God bless you!

Satan was given dominion over the Earth, first of all. How else are we tempted and tried? It's not like God is playing mind tricks with us. That is Satan trying to confuse us. Second God did that believe it or not, because he loves us. He wants us to return to heaven to live with him. But he wants us to prove ourselves worthy. When God gave Satan dominion he did it so that we would be able to choose what we wanted to do. We now have the choice to drink or not to drink. To steal or not steal and so on. Without Satan we would have no choice. And then what would be the purpose of coming here?

I don't believe he gave Satan the power to rule anything. Satan was once in heaven with the rest of gods people until he decided to get jealous and want to be better and Satan got cast out.And when Adam disobeyed Gods command to not eat of the forbidden fruit it was a sin.And since we were created from Adam and Eve we are all living in sin also until we repent and get saved. But Satan is so full of hate that he can react out to the people who are not saved and tell them to do bad things so that they can be so far in sin that they are not going to want to do what the bible says. And since we are in sin, our ears are open to Satan more that God.That's why there a lot of bad things happening in the world today.

He didn't give Satan the power to live on earth. He cast him out of heaven looong before people even inhabited earth. He was all alone. So how was he granted any power?

Bet it would blow your mind if I said that Satan had actually hung around heaven for quite some time before he was actually kicked out permanently... and God didn't need to give him any special powers to live here... he is, after all, an angel :)

GOD didn't, Mother Nature did... And she did this so that her people living on earth, can make their on decisions in which what lifestyle they want to live.. If people choose to be evil, our Mother lets them decide for themselves.. If they choose to live life according to her ways, they will succeed in all aspects of their lives.. I believe the evil people will be reincarnated into animals, and therefore will not have the power or mentality to make such decisions... The followers of the right path, will begin a new life as a new person with the same soul and life on forever...

I think it was meant to be a punishment for Satan to be surrounded by the very creatures he hated, namely us, humans. He was jealous that God loved us more than the angels, thus he rebelled along with some of the other angels.

Satan is just another wondering peaceless soul that must have committed too much peacelessness whilst living in its corporeal body. It's just matter of time for the soul to take up another body... hope this time around he does good.
