Try to download Nokia Multimedia converter, it can convert Mp3 (real songs or music) into Amr (much smaller in size) and be used as ring tones.

It depends what tones your mobile is capable of. There is often software supplied with your phone. If not, check your phone maker's website for any extra software.

You will need to be able to connect your phone to the PC, of course, so you may need a cable to connect it if you haven't one.
