I as an atheist don't believe that someone who disagrees with my beliefs is going to some kind of hell.
I don't understand the need for this hate.

A smiley that follows the line "Happy not to be in your shoes on judgment day." is nothing but smug.

Religions started off as true faiths, nothing more than a relationship between a God a messenger and the followers. When they became popular followings, the ministries (e.g. churches) became powerful in their influence over the followers and to a certain extent, faith in God was transferred to faith in the ministries. So when competition between religious groups for their followers came to a peak, the ministries were able to start adding their own clauses to protect their religions and maintain follower numbers. One of these clauses was aimed at parents ensuring their children kept the family religion, the clauses usually entail punishment for the parents if their children did not thus delegating the responsibility away from the ministries. You'll find these are common to many religions.
I agree these are rudiculous clauses, i myself have experienced it in my family religion - Islam, but refuse to be bullied by something that is so nonsensical and pointless as emotional blackmail.
Thankyou for reading my rant, theres plenty more where that came from!!!

The majority of Christians are extremely intolerant to anyone with a different belief system to their own. I know this because I currently attend a Catholic school. Anyway, Christians want to fit in with others, but do not wish to change themselves, so they try to get others to convert to their ways and beliefs. Christians can also be very self-righteous, which is why they believe that they will go to heaven and anyone or anything different will burn in hell. They do not tolerate others like Jesus Christ himself encouraged them to, but instead pass blind judgement without a second thought. They will indeed disregard their own Bible if it contradicts their lifestyle.

I believe it was Dorthy Sayers who said that God does not send anyone to hell. They send themselves. I personally believe in original sin meaning that all people are deserving of hell, that is why Jesus was sent to die in order to atone for our sinful nature.
What I'm trying to say is that Christians shouldn't condemn people to hell, but theologically they must understand that some people will end up there. As a Christian I pray and leave myself open for discourse, and leading by the holy spirit.

You must be spending time with the wrong Christians. God loves you and will do anything ANYTHING to get you to be in heaven with Him. That's why there's a place called purgatory. Only evil people will burn in hell. If you're not evil, God will find a way for you to be with Him. Don't let a couple of rude, misguided Christians spoil your view of all of us. Most of us are actually really nice.

While it is true that those that don't believe in THE way (through Christ who has died for all on the cross) will go to hell, I find it reprehensible and counterproductive for someone to talk in this week. The Bible instructs us to speak the truth with gentleness and respect. I'm sorry if any who pose themselves as believers (whether they are or not) have caused you to have a bad opinion of the true God.

Christians can no longer condemn absolutely everyone to everywhere..they are in a place to in basic terms provide suggestion and instruct somebody what the Bible says. we have no administration over the place you circulate once you die.. critiques are basically that. you place each and all of the solutions without the questions?? maximum of those solutions are to a pair clever Alec questions approximately how God ought to enable them to accomplish a little style of sin and not punish them or criticizing God approximately something... Do you think of which you will destroy out with conversing undesirable approximately your author and disobeying him?? Are you smarter than God basically considering the fact which you do no longer have faith in him.. God despatched Jesus to keep us from Hell. you do no longer desire Jesus and are dissatisfied with God via fact he won't make the policies the variety you desire them?? Get actual, existence isn't how each and each guy or woman needs it. we don't make the policies..

it's simple to see in a way. with no offence to the devout, chirstianity is a religion for the simple minded. the church has tried it's best to simplify the way to god, by instilling in its flock a belief that theirs is the only way. not this will only hold if the christians believe that all other ways lead to eternal damnation and the like.
like instilling a club rivalry. or a political rivalry. it is insecure, and naturally so, in thiese days and times. and so is it's flock.
unfortunately, this is not what christ intended, being strictly antireligious himself. "sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath", remember.
p.s. i am a catholic

The Bible itself says, that God has admonished His followers, that 'Judge not, lest ye be judged !'
But, most of these profound followers only 'praise the Lord', and IGNORE His Words !
