A lot of what you are asking will depend on several things:
1- Length of your Honeymoon.
2- Your departure city.
3- Your budget.
4- Hotel, Resort or a Cruise?
Once you have answered those questions, it will immensely help you in narrowing your choices for where you want to take your Honeymoon in SEPT 2006(I am Owner of a Travel Agency and would love to assist you, but narrowing your answers can and will help to that end).

Depends on your starting point...Where are you getting married?
I you are near N.Y. get a cheap flight to Malaga Airport in Spain.... Visit Andalusian towns. Then you can go more exotic taking a sidetrip to Morocco for a couple of days...
If you are on the west coast, try Hawaii, or down to Baja California...
Southeast U.S. try Republica Dominicana...my niece went to Punta Cana on her honeymoon, and adored it.
Also there is the Mayan Riviera (Mexico) around CANCUN...
Then if you are really short of funds...just get in your car after the wedding and head in whatever direction takes both your fancies...
After all the fun part of a honeymoon is being in love, being together, and enjoying each other! Everything else is incidental!!
Hope you have a beautiful wedding...and a wonderful marriage!!!

I don't know what you like or what you mean by economical, but I am planning a romantic getaway to the smokey mountains in KY. Remote log cabin in the woods overlooking the mountains, jacuzzi on the front porch, close to Dollywood. Great romance. Good luck.

September is a good time to fly to England. Go with British Airways or American Airlines. Go ahead an apply for passports now as they could take as long as 6 weeks to process.

I would recommend Thailand.
I went there in late November, 2005 and was charmed by their hospitality. And its quite economical as well. And if you book well in advance, guess you would get good deals with the airlines as well
And my congratulations :-)
