Ok... I have a HP Pavilion a305w. It came with Windows XP Home Edition. Being without a Recovery Console, my main computer is not gonna be able to be used until I am able to reinstall windows. I went to the HP site and there are no files there as far as I can find (if you find something, please let me know), and I went to the Microsoft site and I only find service packs to download. How can I reinstall windows on my machine without the disks? I know how to reformat and reinstall WITH the disks... I just need to know if there is a way I can make my own. I really don't want to pay 100 dollars for software that I already own. Seems crappy. Not to mention I don't have the money anyway.

I bought it from WalMart and it was a few years ago (maybe 2?). So I'm pretty sure any warranty it had is probably expired.

I have my own registration code; it's on a sticker on my computer, so no problem there. I just need to know where to download it. :) Thanks everyone for the answers so far.
