Oil on canvas, I'm very much comfortable with oil and my temperament suits it well. Working with oil is like being part of the long tradition which dates back centuries ago. Oil is very versatile and permanent. It may need some drying time for other colors but it all worth it in the end. Every artist should try to work in oil and see if it works well to express what's in their mind.

Pencil has always been my medium of choice. I like to use a range of soft and hard pencils to achieve fine lines and shading. I also prefer to use my own fingers for shading - lightly brushing over the pencil to soften the lines - rather than using a tool.

My favourite medium is oil pastel. I love how well it blends and the colours can be mixed really easily as well.
By the way, if you ever want coloured pencils that can be mixed and blended extremely well but are limited on money, go to WHSmith, they sell 24 for £7.99 and I'd definitely recommend them!!

Although all mediums are best in its own respect, its totally depends on own where he is using either canvas or on paper. The oil color gives good result in canvas. My best is poster color and oil color.

gouache, chalk pastels or acrylic paints are my top 3 +charcoal
depends on the mood and the subject, but these are favourites for working quickly and loosely , blocking in large sections

Acrylic paint...effective and affordable. I find it's perfect for the style in which I tend to paint.

Acrylics is my favorite medium. I love how if you make a mistake you can always fix it.
