Christians, from what you have seen so far in this site, tell me, are we spreading the Good News or are we spreading hate? Or is this a case of the end justifying the means? If yes, is there really no other way?

I've seen both There r alot of questions I choose not to answer u can usually tell the ones that r spoiling for an argument and I won't argue or debate. I just pray for them and move on.
I think some r really tryuing to minister to others and some just want to be right. I try to minister the best I can with the Lords help and sometimes the best we can do is be still.

i've seen a few folks who are more concerned with put-downs than in spreading the Good News...and i've seen far too many professing to be Christians who have been posting hateful messages-no, the ends do not justify the means-Christ has said to spread the Good News-He didn't say to belittle and demean those who have chosen not to believe it-

(Acts 20:20) 20 while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house.. . .

(Matthew 24:14) 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

This world wide door to door preaching work is being done as the Bible say's it will. Next time there is a knock why not see what the Good News of the Kingdom is?

Much blood has been spilled in the name of religion, no matter its beliefs. As a practicing Christian, but one who does not particularily like "organized religion", I see more hate and discontent being fostered by the organized groups than not. Your deeds tell me more about your beliefs than your words. If I like what you say AND do, then I may be persuaded to talk to you about it, but for you to come to my house uninvited to "spout" your beliefs expect to be shown the door. to me, sharing the "Good News" has a couple of parts, first you need to go to "WWW.can Iknow".com for a good understanding of the good news and then listen to people, if you hear that they are looking for something or open to new ideas, offer to share. But be sure you are sharing the Good Word, not a group's particular brand of it.
The old story about the three men sitting on the proch of the general store, two were discussion religion and whose was best, the third just sat there listening. Finally the two turn to the third and ask him what he thinks. His reply, you both raise cotton, I run a cotton mill, there are three roads from your fields to my mill. You can go around the south road, short and rough and hard on your equipment. You can go over the hill, the road is very smooth but a hard pull or you can go around the north road longer but a flat pull and easy on equipment. When you get to my mill I ask not which road you took, but how good is your cotton.
If you live your life in the best Christian manner you can and be willing to share with those who are truly interested, not forcing your belief structure on anyone else but letting decide if they chose to believe as you do, you have doen His work as best you can. Best of luck to you

Christianity is not a pacifist faith. We are to go on the attack and take over the strongholds of Satan in this world.

We are not spreading hate... we love people enough to try to encourage them to think twice before it is too late for them.

Granted not everyone is strong enough in their faith to give a mature answer. But we are commanded to be the salt of the earth. If you are a Christian... what are you doing to help take a stand for your faith? Or would you prefer to be silent and let others do everything for you?

Only you can answer that one. We are accountable for our actions and our words before God Almighty. It is judgmental to make this statement about your own brothers/sisters. Whose side are you on? Christians are expected to face persecution for taking a stand for their faith. We have the example of what happened to the early church to learn from. Were not 11 of 12 apostles executed for not keeping silent? How many times was Peter and Paul brought to trial and the chief priests told them to be quiet and what did they do?

So stand up for your faith. We are to give an educated answer to all who ask. Here I see both skeptics who are open and those who are not. But for those who are not I am still sometime required to answer for the sake of those who are silently reading this stuff but are not responding.

Educated people show respect for the beliefs and cultures of all people. The greatest retarder of intellectual development is religious indoctrination. Christianity breeds intolerance for other beliefs and this will always cause conflict and friction and lead to wars. The world will never know peace while its inhabitants are brainwashed into believing it is noble to die or kill for a 'higher authority'.

Christians who preach do far more harm than good.

Just friendly advice from your local neighborhood atheist.

Here is a clue:

Most atheists used to be Christians and they know more about the bible and Christianity than those attempting to preach.

You are spreading neither good news nor hat(red), but what makes you feel righteous and pious. Consequently, all this is about YOU, and not the Bible, nor charity, nor concern for the sensibilities of others.

Jesus, himself, spoke of the private nature of real prayer; if you won't listen to him, then to whom WILL you listen?

Oh! stop trying to be so exclusive! Do you want only one-sided opinions of everything?
See that's a large part of the problem being too exclusive ...religion is really divisive.
