I can analyze peoples subconscious in what one might called a parlor game form of entertainment and many have said how accurate I am.
We often 'live' in our subconscious and in our dreams where there is a lack of outward control. Feelings and emotions can be eased and dealt with once they are recognized. The problem is that anyone who analyzes your childs dream will be doing it as a form of some type of inaccurate science.
If you know there is a problem, chances are, there may be a problem. Let her be free around the house and simply watch her as to where she goes and what she does without any direction from you.
Also, her dreaming might have a real physical discomfort connected to her. Try realizing what position she is in when she has those dreams. It might be a physical problem from the body lying on that side... She simply might not like sleeping alone and enjoys the company of mom.
Whatever you do....do not ignore the matter.

Children have such vivid imaginations its no wonder sometimes they suffer from nightmares, they can be so real to them as they sometimes struggle to tell reality from fantasy. I learned a really good technique a while ago that seemed to work with some of the children that were having similar problems in the nursery school i worked.
Get your child to draw her bad dreams, let her be creative and take all the time she needs, then help her fold the paper/s as small as you can then let her think of a hiding place where they cant get out, maybe buried in the garden or locked in a box. Hopefully she will be reassured that the 'things' in her dreams cant get to her anymore. You could also buy some sort of glitter, put it in a special pot and tell her its magic fairy dust, sprinkle it around the house and tell her that the fairy's will come and look after her whilst she sleeps.

My 3 year old was waking up in the middle of the night crying about monsters. I thought about what kind of movies and shows I watched around her and realized that some things are alote scarier to a small child. I make sure that she is asleep before I watch anything even a little scarey and everything is better now.

I went through this with my granddaughter and I finally found by putting a tape with nice music in the vcr(childs movie)it lulled her to sleep with a good rest..It took a couple of nights,but was well worth it,I still do this with her.

my son still has the NIGHTMEREs he is 11 now ! But we have been able to control them by monitoring what he watches on television during the day! We noticed that even some of the cartoons he was watching was causing the nightmeres! Since now that we have LIMITED and MONITOR what he watches he doesn't have as many nightmeres! Try it! and maybe even try reading her a book before she goes to sleep!

does she still take her bottle? well if she does give her a bath with warm water and then her botle with water and sugar and trust me it will knock her out my mom just to give it to me when i wouldn't fall asleep.
