I'm a perfectly normal 16 yearold girl and last night I have to admit that my whole life changed. I walked into my parents bedroom and found them "doing the deed". Ok, they were surprised and I walked out of the room calmly. About 10 minutes later, my mom came in and asked me what I wanted..but I ignorned her. I couldnt sleep the whole night. What am I gonna do now...I cant even look at them in the eye!

You are not alone. We have all had this happen in some way, shape or form. It's kinda gross and disturbing...to say the least. Who want's to think of their parents as being sexual?! Fact of the matter though, if it wasn't for them "doing the deed" there would never be a you. Try to get a sense of humor about it. That's the only way you'll be able to find a place for this 'trauma" in your mind. Unfortunately, this is one of those things that there is no real answer for...I still have a big "eww" in my mind twenty years later. Oh, by the way, chances are you will be on the other end of this one day....:)

Be glad your parents are still loving each other. What they where doing was natural for two people that are in love with each other and have married making a total commitment to each other. You are blessed to have parents that love each other. Please knock before you enter the next time to give them time to g be prepared to help you. This type of thing happens to many kids, but stop and talk to your parents about it. You feel imbarassed for walking in. Just apologize and let it go. After all, it was an accident.

You need to accept the fact that your parents are human beings and that "doing the deed" is in fact a part of their lives together. Try to forget the visual images but remember that point. They are human just like you. Also, respect their privacy from now on and don't just walk into their bedroom.

Pretty shocking, huh...?? You know whats really shocking...?? Everyone has a sex drive and pretty much everyone is doing something to get off...everyone...!! The more you see of the world, the wierder it gets...!! Its hard to imagine your parents being regular humans, but they are, and like most humans, if they don't get some kind of action, they will be pretty miserable company. Thats why so many single Moms are out of sorts and so many old men turn into perv's. It's much better for you that your parents have a healthy relationship...

Well things like this happen sometimes. I understand your dilemma, but did you bother to knock on their door before you entered. When you get grown you will understand. It's not the end of the world and happens all the time between two people who love each other.

Hey, your parents are still in love; not too common anymore, would you rather they divorce?

Just erase it from your mind and be happy that they still love each other and are not divorced.

It was traumatic for all of you and you mom was concerned with what you walked in on; which makes her a good mom.

In the future, knock!

I have to admit too...I'm a teen about your age....Once I faced the same thing....I woke up early in the morning...and I went to my parents room to ask my mother something...and I saw them doing the same thing....I wasn't wearing my glasses at that moment... so I coudn't figure out what they were doing... so I was about to call my mother....but all of the sudden I understood ..... but thank God they didn't see me...I went to my room and I was about to throw up....I was a little bit strange that day...and didn't look them in the eye too....
But I think that you'll go through it... it will just take you a little time...and then you'll forget it and will remember it with a laugh!

When you get married and have children, can you say that it will never happen to you also?

The biggest "mistake" you made was not to knock on the door first!!!

This is a basic courtesy.

They did nothing wrong that's why they can still talk and look you in the eye.

You simply ought to have knocked first.
