They do? I never paid attention to it. But if they do, I think it represents that both Isreali army and the U.S army fight the common enemy.. may be? Or, it is a "UNIVERSAL" military emblems as a U.S general would explain if asked. Who knows.... I don't.

Yes, they are similar, though not the same. Also their military functions somewhat different than ours; they have generals under 30 years old! As to the reason they look the same, Israel was ratified in 1948 just after the second World War; they were immediately attacked by their Muslim neighbors. We provided their hardware, mostly WWII pieces being shipped back from Europe that were already painted and went into battle with no time to customize properly. Understand, their first war began ON THE DAY they became a country. Later they probably left things as similar as possible to avoid changing the colors of the winning team.

Best wishes!

If im not mistaken they are used for divisional/unit identification...different V configurations help tell the particular squadron/platoon/company unit involved in a particular operation. Thats for US units. Israeli units use it for practically the same reasons...how they got it I am not so sure.

if you are refering to the NATO symbol that would make more sence as they are the same it is a blue flag with a white emblem. Islreal also buys alot of arms and weopons from the USA as well or create new machines in a joint effort with other contries from time to time.

Because they are used to help tell the tanks apart. Everybody does this because it is a good idea.

Maybe because they buy their armaments from US manufacturers?
