LAST drink should be water and LOTS of it, the cause of most hang overs is dehydration. But take it from a lady that has alot of drinkers in the family, you don't want to go there. For those with genetic predisposition to addictions, that First drink can be the beginning of the end of your life's dreams. Alcohol can take EVERYTHING From you. People can have fun without being wasted.

I suggest you order a tender coconut juice and on top of it add RUM but very slowly inversing a spoon so that the rum floats on top as a red ring. Then drink slowly It is good
Or Go in for BLOODY MARY.

I say a Bellini. I always go for something tasty and expensive to start the night. You can go for the cheap stong stuff when you have lost the ability to taste. Any good barman should know how to make one.

if you like sweet drinks have a Daquiri (rum + fruit) or Margarita (tequila+fruit),
it is summer and fruit adds vitamins, depletion of which gives the hangover
alternate with glasses of water (avoid dehydration)
or a cold beer is nice, avoid house wines as usually bad
AND as your rhyme says: DO NOT MIX GRAPE AND GRAIN
the hangover is not worth it

Mind eraser (they're terrific :) ). It's a drink where you try to beat someone to finish first (you have to down them), fun if you put a bet down on the next drink. It consists of Kalua and Vodka, I believe; they're smooth. In the words of my mom, have fun & be safe ! :)
