I dont mean karma by nature taking revenge on someone who did something bad to you, that's just bullshit. What i mean by karma is the effect of our past lives on our current lives. How the mistakes we did in our past lives are the reason we are living today..back to this earth to undo our sins.. so what do you think?

dude i'm a hindu too, thank you very much!
and i'm sorry but from what i know, karma is the effect of our past and present actions. And how can you not believe in reincarnation and claim to be a believer of karma.. they walk hand in hand, my friend.. but i have to agree with you about the existence of heaven and hell being bullshit.
But to those who do believe in heaven and hell, i'm not saying you're wrong, i just have a different reality from you :)

"Karma" the word simply put means action and we all know there is an equal and opposite reaction to every action. All actions result in a reaction. If you hit something it causes pain to you aswell.
The hindu philosophy suggests that the "atma" that is the real you has always been in existence and shall remain in existence. It cannot be destroyed by fire, water, air or anything else. It has been explained in various verses of the vedas to be 1/10000 the size of the tip of the human hair. The body is like clothes hence the conscious ness refers to it as "my body" and not "I body". The body keeps changing, growing old and then dying for the atma to feel renewed once again in a new body. The body you recieve is according to your conditioning in this life. For eg if one likes to eat meat he/she may be born as a carnivore for god gives you what you desire. But taking an animal form is a hinderance to your spiritual development and the ultimate goal of moksha and yog with god. So, everyone has existed in some form or the other in previous lives and will continue to do so indefinitely. "Moksha" is becoming free from the cycle of reincarnation.

You don't understand the meaning of Karma at all or you have a really cheap interpretation of Karma. I'm a Hindu from India and Karma is a word in our language, it was used by us for the first time. Karma means action, we reap what we sow. Karma is not about past lives it's also about your present life. You do bad things to other, you get bad things(IN THIS LIFE ITSELF NOT OTHER LIVES). It's true, if you treat people badly you will get treated badly. I'm a Hindu I don't believe in reincarnation but I do believe in Karma. You must have got this cheap interpretation of Karma from a Christian website. For protestant Christians actions don't mean anything so all looting, killing, raping is justified as long as he accepts Jesus as his savior and "repents" for his actions. That is not the case with Hindu/Buddhist belief. Your life depends on *your* actions. Karma is also about this life not past lives. Past lives are as bullshit as heaven and hell in Christianity.

Well KARMA has different meaning and doing ones duty itself is Karma. In Bhagawat Gita Karma Yoga is a path to realise the Divine God. We are supposed to live in such a way in this life that we wash of all "prarabthakarma".
The entire universe is active and is in constant motion and we too are a part of it. Birth and death are cyclic. Each one of us have a role to play and we are only a pan in the hands of the creator.By our action we can come out of this vicious circle of birth and death. This is the theory of life as per Hindu philosophy.

Yes, but I've learned it's better to live in the "Here & Now", not in the Past.

Blink 181 put out a song and here are some of the lyrics.

Her two kids in high school,
They tell her that she's uncool,
'Cause she's still pre-occupied,
With 19, 19, 1985.

Talk about obsession sheesh. LET IT GO!!

The teaching of reincarnation thus uses as its foundation the doctrine of the immortality of the soul and builds on it using the law of karma. Let us see what God's inspired Word, the Bible, has to say regarding these ideas.

Yes I do. As Shri Krishna has said in Geeta "Karma-ne-va-dhikaraste-ma-faleshu-kadachan" meaning thereby You do our duties (Karma) and dont wait for beneifts. The benefits will come automaticlly to you. Hence Karma is Important.

No, karma in that sense is nonsense to me. My beliefs tell me man has one life which ends and that man is then sent to a Judgement Day; if he was faithful to God and Jesus he will be sent to Heaven, otherwise, Hell--both for eternity.
