I was told that Crack is a more pure form of Cocaine and is stronger. If so, why is Cocaine more expensive?

If you buy ~$60 dollars worth of Crack, then you have the same weight as about $150 dollars worth of powder Cocaine. How can Crack be stronger and more potent?

I guess that is because Crack is a synthetic drug that can easily be created. Cocaine comes from a natural resource (poppies) and needs to be planted... and finally one needs to smuggle it!

first off to answer your question I don't know. I've always wondered the same thing. How can you get more pure by adding baking soda than original pure coke? I wish someone who had a clue would answer you question because second off...some of you all are idiots. you have no clue what your talking about. Crack is not synthetic, it is cocaine. you mix powder with a base usually baking soda mix with water heat it up the goo that form is your crack. you can put it in ice or the freezer that will help it rock up faster. it goes like this coca plant to coca paste (a base smokeable, not easily transportable not very pure) to cocaine hcl. to crack. Cocaine HCl is powder coke its acidic cant smoke an acid it vaporization temp is too high, ie it will burn up before you can inhale the vapors. so you have to convert it to a base. ok freebase is born. but ether is volatile I guess (because i've never made freebase) it is very dangerous cause of the chemicals. So then some genius powered by the devil himself realized you make cocaine HCl a base using plain simple baking soda. Crack is born.

You are on the right track. Test it chemically. It will turn up to be a synthetic, either PCP, or a meth-derivitive. It is not a cocaine at all. "Free-Basing" the mixxing of cocaine with either,and an alkaline made its debut in the 1980's cost so much initially that those with higher incomes were the only ones to indulge regularly. For instance, when one buys concentrated detergent, the concentrate is more expensive. Using the one cup of concentrate as though it were the non-concentrate of the same detergent will cause serious problems. The same logic applies to cocaine. Consider taking concentrated coffee and increase the amount in a cup of water,if you can stand the taste. It also will cause serious problems. By the way, caffine and cocaine are same chemicals with different molecular structure

Cocaine is has the freebase removed from it. Crack does not. So it is cheeper because it is easier, safer and cheeper to produce. It is potent because of the extra chemicals.

So Cocaine is the pure form because it has been purified. Cocaine is crack without the freebase chemicals.

I don't know where u got your information from but crack is cocaine just basically in a rock form and crack has more junk in it like crank is a dirty crystal...crack is a dirty cocaine...its all bad for ya spend your money on something else. cocaine is the pure formas crystal is the pure form too
