i m sorry to say but u American girls are the most pathetic things on earth, you never think that u will get old and that u need to study and be a good woman respectable with dignity, get married and have children, all ur life is based in flirting and dating any guys all the time? for God sake u better focus on studying and doing something useful and as soon as ur parents allow u get married with a good respectable guy, worker and clean mind and forget about all that pathetic stuff of yours, if not u will end ur life alone, fat and with AIDS disease or with a baby and working as servant maid for some coins, maybe u will end in suicide or sleeping in a dirty street,You people don't know any morals or respect for yourselves even

it all depends on the relationship. if he was a jerk why stay friends?
on the other hand if it just wasn't working and u both want to be friends why not. I have a couple of ex's that are friends.
sometimes life makes that decision for you. use common sense if u have some or someone else's if u'r not able to discern for u'rself.
but it's true that one of u will always have a candle lit for the other.

I have good relations with two ex's... it's really all in the breakup.. if it was a mutual breakup like mine have been, a friendship cvan continue. If it was an ugly break up... there's no way a friendship afterwords will come about.

Yes, but usually not for awhile. You need to let some space divide you for awhile...just until you're not so emotionally tuned in. Then both of you will have a better perspective on friendship. Time is a good healer - so use it to your advantage.

why can't you be friends as long as you ended on good terms with each other. I'm friends with my ex-fiance she left me for another guy. I don't hate her, we wern't happy together both of us kind of gave up on the relationship but we still talk like everyother day .

No....women should never have male friends, once there in a serious relationship....
Don't think your male friends aren't checking out your butt when your bent over looking for your keys....or whatever.
