I think the Jews didn't want a whole lot of help from Jesus.
"When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it." And all the people answered and said, "His blood be on us and on our children." (Matthew 27:24 - 25 NKJV)
I guess they got what they wanted.

genesis was before Jesus came, after he came he didn't have to punish sinners in a way to make a statement to others because before Jesus came it was really hard to go to heaven, the bad things in the world are not Gods fault, if everyone did everything the Bible said to do (not what idiots like you THINK it said, because you don'tknow the difference from a statement from a commandment, the world would be a wonderful place, but we all have free will, as I am not a calvanist I believe that we choose what happens to us,we can pray to God and he will help us if he sees that as the right thing to do,the reason we pray is because God tells us to call out to him. Jesus is not napping he feels our pain, our life here on earth isbut only for a second and when we die all of our life will no longer matter, the world pays for it's own sins even innocent children, God saves all who come to him.
why are you so defensive, what are you trying to prove?
christians just want people not to go to hell and be with God, because that is what we are orderdby God to do.
and before making judgements about the bible, you should accually read it all in context, of course christians are bad people too, but christians are the ones trying to take care of those starving children, and give them a real reason to live.
just do a little reasearch. you know all that money you people complain about of us christians tithing? guess were most of it goes? to the poor and hungry! who are the people giveing medical and clothing and time to all these people?
not you. research, to find out who does the most.
ok picture this, you have a perfect life and nothing bad ever happens.
would you cry out for help and salvation?
NO. you would just die and go to hell.
God gives us his grace through salvation, he gave us a choice to live a perfect life, but we have soul and free will,so we screwed it up, not his fault.
without free will how could we CHOOSE him?
