I know that every religion has it extreme groups, but Islam is the only religion that actually teaches violence, why are people fooled by a religion so violent and we are supposed to accept them lovingly?

My credentials: I lived in Saudi Arabia for three years and worked with and trained Royal Saudi Air Force computer technicians.

Okay, the Saudis I worked with were all Muslims. Obviously, they must have been all Muslims, because there is no other religion allowed for Saudi citizens (except for a special Christian sect in the mountains and a special Jewish sect which is said to have lineage going back to Adam and is protected by the government).

To say that it is a violent religion is both wrong and right, depending on perspective. The strict Wahabi Islam of Saudi Arabia sees a lot of people beheaded in public. This is called Chop-Chop Square. It is a result of literal interpretation of Shariah (Islamic Law). People really go and watch people being beheaded. Two trainees I worked with had actually seen it. They said it was the most horrifying thing they had ever seen and would never do it again and would not wish for anyone else to see it happen.

Most of the Saudis I worked with were very friendly. They like to talk and laugh. They have differing levels of religious devotion, though they can NEVER publicly express disbelief, for fear of the death penalty for converting out of Islam. There was one guy, Sulaiman, who was very devout. One day in the course of a conversation about the morals of murder, he told me he would kill a Jew if he had the chance. Then, there was another trainee, named Sulaiman also, who was a Bedouin (camel herding nomad), and preferred not to discuss religion or anything that would make people argue. He just wanted to enjoy life.

So, you see, Islam is not a violent religion, but there are people and sects within it who are violent and there are people and sects (look up Sufism) within it that are not.

They are human beings, just like you and me. They feel, think, hurt, love, and are influenced by their culture and government, just like us.

And all religions have violent elements within that can be activated by an influential person. Islam may have more violent fanatics than other religions, but the majority are peaceful. If they weren't, we would have MAJOR problems, because it would be very hard to stop ONE BILLION (estimate of world Muslim populatin from World Almanac) suicide bombers.

Islam is no more violent than Christianity or any other religion. It is not the religion, but rather man using religion as an excuse.

Look to history to see the violence projected throughout the world in the name of religion and God, against those who were unbelievers to their version of religion. Millions upon millions of people have been exiled, tortured and murdered by those religious zealots and the followers of Christianity were among the worst.

The Church of Rome would not tolerate any who did not agree with them totally and many groups were condemned as heretics and destroyed. Look up the decimation of the gentle Cathars in the 12th century CE and see how these people who sought to live peacefully were hideously massacred.

Religious intolerance is not a sign of a violent religion, only of violent people in that religion. God's message is love, man supersedes it with hate.

It's not all of Islam. Just the same as it isn't all of Christianity or Judaism. Don't let Fox News tell you otherwise, either.

Look in the states and Christians killing doctors and in Israel, people like Baruch Goldstein.

Of course if you read the Koran there is a bit of violence in it ... But read the Bible, especially Deuteronomy and Leviticus.

However, I am quite sure that if someone invaded the United States and tried to force their form of government on you and were killing innocent people in the process, you would fight as hard as you could, no matter what your religion might be.

If you actually pay attention to the violence that happens in the Middle East, you will see that the root of it has very little to do with Islam.

The religion itself may not teach violence. However, many people practicing the religion are violent - just look at what happened in 9-11. These people are changing the religion to fit what they want.

Actually religion is not voilent, but islam people are voilent. This is equal in every religion. Even Christian are even more harsh than islam, Hindu too are irritate people. Every human is voilent.

As per the Bible: Islam is a such violent religon because it is curse from God. God has cursed this Haggar's Son that he will not be in peace, he will be against other and other will be against this Islam. This Islam is spread from the decendant of Ishmael, son of Hagar.

Reference: Genesis 16: 1 - 15,
Regarding Curse Genesis 16: 12

"He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
and everyone's hand against him,
and he will live in hostility
toward all his brothers."

As per the Hindu: Islam and Chriatian are low caste religion.

But Islam and Chriatian know that what they are.

This is not the matter of blaming other.

If every finger of our hand are equale then no need to blame to thumb that he is too odd, or if middle finger is too long don't blame. All have same value and if we cut same color of blood will flow.

This is all about human conception of hating each other.

Thanks

Islam is no violent religion, that's a myth. People's interpretations of it may be leading to violent actions, BUT Islam is so much loving as the Christian religion.

If you think of the christian bible, they say "eye for an eye, teeth for teeth" (or something along those lines). In case of Islam, some people may have taken that seriously, when the context turns out being fully different and trying to bypass a completly different message.

First of all i would like to ask you that how much have you studied about islam? The people are converting to islam because they study it instead of criticizing it having heard what the news is saying about islam. If you study islam you will automatically develope love for it because it is the most peaceful and loving relegion in the world.
Remember if a muslim commits an act of violence then he is going against islam and will be inquired and punished by Allah at the Day Of Judgment.

Islam is not a violent religion. What you are refering to are the religious fanatics that are bent that way by someone with convincing power. Its not the religion its the preacher or the leader of some of the extremists.

If ur going to look Christianity isn't all fragrant, pure and white too. I don't have to repeat the examples given by the others.

IT ALL began suddenly one day in April 1994. A plane crash killed the presidents of Burundi and Rwanda. Within hours violence of horrifying proportions engulfed Rwanda. In little more than three months, over 500,000 Rwandans—men, women, and children—were dead. Some people refer to the period as "the genocide."

This is a great article on such violence.

Missed all those history lessons, did you?

Been watching the activities of the "Jewish state" for the last fifty years? Read about the activities of the terrorists who established the "Jewish state?"

The bible is a terrorist handbook.

BTW, what specific event is celebrated by "Passover"? What is being "passed over" and why?

I lived in Saudi Arabia for about a year over twenty years ago and the claim that "Muslims are violent" is an outright lie. It is also a lie that Muslims hate Jews & Christians.

But, lying is obviously second nature to Jews & Christians.
