I know older men have a different focus on what is important and attractive in a woman and I would like some insight into that. Also your views on marriage. BTW- we have been dating a year, are very close and are the best of friends. Thanks!

I think after 35 the question of age is irrelevant.
What's attractive to me now, as a 44 year old man...has changed very little in 20 years: it's simply taken on a mature definition.
- Where I used to find slim girls attractive...now...I enjoy a sense of physical fitness...
- I used to find brilliant white teeth a turn on...now I'm happy with good oral hygiene AND NO fake CAPS.
- I've always loved long straight hair...still do - I just find that now...it doesn't bother me if it has a little gray.
- I used to love a "smarty pants" ... now I like a woman with education.
What becomes important is companionship, communication, quality sex, and personal growth. At 56, if I find a 36 year old hottie that shares thes things with me...I'd marry her in a heart beat.

If you love one another who gives a damn what the world thinks? Older men do not have a different focus on anything. They like fun, happiness, laughter and sunshine just like anyone else. When it comes to women, who knows? It's down to the individual. One man's meat is another man's poison. Personally, I like the close friendship a long term relationship can bring. My girlfriend is 19 years younger than me (I'm 48). We have a great time together. Well, I think we do. I'm not too sure. Maybe we do. Hang on, I'll ask her............oh, well, er, okay, I have a great time!!
I think older men may just be a tad more insecure!

I understand what you mean by older men having a different focus in life. YTounger men are all shallow but there are a few of them who are matured. The only problem i would have with an older man is someone who is trying to be my daddy or boss me around. I want someone to be on the same page with me and we could talk about things that we could relate to and not me trying to be grown and please someone by acting like i enjoy old stories. Or have to do things in respect of age. But if you are happy, that's all you need. No one can tell you what's best for you except yourself. Stay happy and don't listen to judgemental people--their lives might be boring.

I have no different focus now as an older man than as a younger
one- I still see all women as beautiful. However, we DO like
maturity (you can be drop dead gorgeous, but silly. I'm sure we
(I) wouldn't ignore you, but.....how long would I want you to hang around is another question.) What's important besides maturity?
Honesty, compassion, and hey- intelligence- I think you get to a point where the beautiful but dumb blond gets old (no pun intended).

It's got nothing to do with age.
People, in general, are different and have 'different focus on what is important and attractive' to them-based on their personel taste, type, or what was instilled in them as they were growing up. Sometimes a young man is more mature than an older man.
Some men never mature. So, age is just a number.

I'm 20 years historic, and in my opinion I would no longer think dating any one who is the equal age as my mother (fifty six years historical) that is beyond weird to me. However everyone is extraordinary. So Is it good enough for her up to now a 56 years ancient? Definite, i suppose. Is it for every person? Undoubtedly now not.

There is nothing disgusting in what u are doing, Older man will not look at every opportunity to jump in the bed with you. They know how to treat a lady as one. They are not the crass impudent youngsters who only want to lay you. Older men are well mannered and courteous.

that's hard i know what you might feel that he completely understand you and it seems that he knows the ways to woman's heart but dont you think when your age become 56 he will be how ????

its not disgusting as long as you both love each other.. if you love him then he loves you ...why not? try to ask your parents.. its up to you if wanted that people will ask you if you are hanging out with your father. because its awkward if you are dating older than your parents. its really up to you.
