Sounds like in the worst case senerio that the surgery and chemo did not get all of the cancer. If the lymph node is enlarged, there may be cancer there. But...

then again, there are numerous other reasons that a lymph node may be enlarged. Talk to the oncologist and see if he is concerned about it and what is the plan.

By the way was the CEA elevated?

Please ask your oncologist this question. Do not rely on the answers on this site. It is too important. The lymph node could be anything. It could be just an enlarged node showing up on the ct scan. Only the radiologist and surgeon will know if it is a calcified spot or malignant lymph node. If they only seen 1, its a positive sign. The anastamosis is where they connected your bowel after they took out the malignant part. When the radiologist reads the ct scan he always gives a final impression.
Good luck
