I mean really what is it? Is forgiveness going to the person and telling them they are forgiven? Is it having the inner peace that there is no more animosity? Do you have to go to that particular person to forgive inorder to be considered as forgiveness?

Forginess is coming to terms with something done to you, letting go of the negative feelings towards the event anf person, and moving forward in your life. Doesnt mean you forget... dont get hurt twice. But not stewing over it, I guess you could say.
Do you have to go to the person? No. Not unless you want to, and that person is seeking your forgiveness.

Forgiveness is when someone does you harm and you don't demand that they make restitution but release them from the debt. They no longer "owe you".

Restoration is when someone has wronged you and you are willing, and so are they, to work on your relationaship. To be in a good standing with each other.

I personally believe that you can forgive someone, but not be restored in the relationship. Because restoration takes two people, whereas forgiveness only takes one person (the harmed person letting go of the offense).

Forgiveness has been described as a quality by which one ceases to feel resentment against another for a wrong he or she has committed against oneself. Forgiveness can be granted with or without the other asking for forgiveness. Some people also believe that persons can forgive themselves, that it is possible to forgive groups of people, or that it is possible to be forgiven by God

Forgivness is not always possible, as to be forgiven a person must return or make up for the misdeed, then he/she might be forgiven, so help us God.
If someone takes another person/s lives then how he/she going to reconciliate!

No, you don't have to go to somebody and tell them they are forgiven for you to forgive them. Forgiveness is for YOU, not for the other person. It heals your spirit and calms your mind. It helps you to understand that we are all human and that we all fail each other at times. It is understanding that you are no better than anybody else. It is replacing hurts, resentments, anger, bitterness, etc., with love.

Forgiveness is one drop of infinity that expands something inside us, and makes us understand that everybody has limits put by nature but always we can look beyond those limits and forgive people for what they have done.

forgiveness is when you are very sorry and the person that you hurt knows that your sorry and they love you enough to give you a second chance (or in some people's chance who make a lot of mistakes a 3rd, 4th, 5th....) but the point is, u trust them again
