As i have shifted to mumbai I have brought my bike through transport to mumbai but the RTO police asks for NOC.
Cant i drive my bike all over india without NOC?
I thought we can drive bike in different state for one year and incase we stay more then we have to re register bike and get MH number.

2 things
1) The RTO are trained to ask for NOC. Travellers who are carrying an NOC are not required to volunteer the NOC to RTO, but if they have one, have to present. If not, say no, I don't have NOC.

2) Previously, RTO allowed riders without NOC to travel for limited time inter state, but I don't know what rules are now. it may be that rules have changed recently, therefore would not present on RTO rules website (RTO consider website unimportant).

Call RTO and ask about the rules BEFORE you travel inter state. Speak to RTO customer service on phone. you will likely be transfered a few times before you get to talk to person who knows the answer. write down their name, phone number (direct) and position at RTO, and take with you when you travel, to show RTO officers at gates that you have permission to travel without NOC, and to call for verification if needed.

or get an NOC if all that fails.

Peace
